What I want to know is who is making money off all these Che Guevara shirts you see people (plenty of whom probably have little knowledge of what Che did, what he stood for etc. but that's beside the point) wearing. You just know that'll be some shady capitalist corporation that Che would likely despise.
The guy who made the logo made it so anyone can use it... However then people started trying to make a profit withi it. I hear that he is starting court actions to stop people using it to make profit (especialy if the profits don't contribute to spreading socialist ideas and what not)

If you want to express your love for Cuban communists buy a castro shirt made by Cubans. When I was at the the war and peace show there was a guy selling them who does aid work and stuff in Cuba.

White middle class parents cramping your stlye? Buy a Che shirt!

Need to fit in with the other liberals? Buy a Che shirt!

Feel guilty about being rich? Buy a Che shirt!

Actually support marxism, socialism or other political theories that tie in with the policies of the Cuban government?...

DO NOT BUY A CHE SHIRT!

Ahh Ninja'd

Still people don't seem to think about what Che stood for, they just want to wear a popular shirt. You'd think they'd know. Companies must be laughing.

Good lord we found a fucking ironic dingy, hur, hur, hur...

But what if Anonymous is really working for the Catholic church? I'm pretty sure that would make them badass. Trying to overthrow the Protestant west to install a Vatican friendly government.

Dude, totally gonna write a fucking awesome script for a movie now.

Not really, the church was against using violence. Pope Clement VIII felt that using violence to achieve a restoration of Catholic power in England would result in the destruction of those that remained
Hold on, you're saying that the tenents of Catholics are not the same as the Catholic Church? Next you'll be saying they're not responsible for the Crusades, the Inquisition or the paedophilic priests...

And then we might even say they're not all bad!!

What will the Atheists think? ;)

Joking aside, his efforts would have helped the Church immensely (by removing their one enemy to controlling the UK), but it's tough to work out where his loyalties lie. Certainly not with hackers though.

And the relevant parties care... how?
"Enemy mine". Look it up.
Already saw it. Just to make sure we're talking about the same thing though, Reptile alien guy and a human get stuck on a hazardous planet and try to set aside prominent racial prejudices for the sake of survival. Right? I still don't see how that is precisely relevant. The Anonymous ones are likely to be uncaring of this information, and won't succumb to some sort of ridiculous paranoia over the issue. Their attitude towards this can thus be exemplified by a chorus of crickets.

And the symbol is flawed as well.... "Fawkes was a fighter for Spain and the Catholic Church. His goal was to end the slightly more egalitarian Protestant revolution in England by restoring Catholic domination." (quote from Cracked.com)
P.S. First!
I think they're taking the mask from V, because Guy Fawkes never actually wore the masks.

And then they realized their mistake and anonymous exploded... and there was much rejoicing.

That's interesting and silly. I like it.

Don't you kind of think they already know that? And maybe don't care? If the mask spreads so does the idea?

That's like buying a Darth Vader costume and not knowing the money goes to George Lucas.

Which makes me think that the article is "sponsored" by someone who wants to discredit anonymous by making them look stupid.

Stealing the mask is a logical proposition if you don't want to contribute to the large corporation.

Seeing as most of Anonymous' activities are illegal anyway, makes sense.

Ahem; blurb blurb blurbl blurbl blib blibl pltttth- The I Hate Anonymous Crowd

Considering that a negligable amount goes to scientology after the store owners, shipping co. and the manufacturers take their share and they are rebranding the lookvso to speek, i think it's a fair tradeoff overall.

We also need to remember the original V for Vendetta was against a facist state of murderers and pro ethnic cleansing assholes who got into power legitimately not a macguffin engineered virus. So if you want to talk about 'what the mask' means, go find out the actual plot to v for Vendetta. Not the film
