Anonymous Warns Zynga Will Burn

This thread just boggles the mind. How is this still not clear after all these years? Anonymous is EXACTLY THAT. It's -ANONYMOUS-. It's not some sort of trademarked organization with members and factions and splinter groups and what have you. Just look up the words "anonymous" and "anonymity", for goodness sake.

I've never had anything to do with any activism, internet or otherwise. If tomorrow I threatened to light a bag of poo on fire outside the home of some random politician unless he stopped backing a censorship bill or something, and then wrote the threat as "Anonymous", that's all it takes and that would be a "warning from Anonymous" aswell. Anonymous is a lable literally anyone can adopt and then drop as soon as they want.

So as far as this news story is concerned, either something is going to happen to Zynga because the threats are from someone with the capability to carry out their threats, or nothing's going to happen because it's just as likely to be two bored people who just decided to send a threatening message to see if the company's big dogs scare easily for a few laughs.

I should start signing my tax papers with "Anonymous" and see if that makes the news. Anonymous paying taxes, extra extra...

...

...I cannot believe. Of all the entities on the internet. Anonymous thinks that Zynga and the location of its jobs in ANY WAY is important to the video game industry ANYWHERE. THEY. MAKE. S***. It's a dick business decision but to think that actual games, that are made with actual effort, are hurt by this, is just ridiculous.

I mean, go ahead, f*** Zynga, but it's like curing a cancer on a limb that ISN'T EVEN ATTATCHED TO THE BODY.

I don't think they want to secure jobs they may just be doing it cause if they keep the jobs here then they are screwed which would bring social gaming down

Though I feel for the recently unemployed, particularly in the harsh economic climate, I've never had any love for Zynga or their dishonest, sleazy business practices. I believe the world and the Internet would be significantly better off without them, so don't care what Anonymous do.

I do not feel sympathetic whatsoever. Let those motherfuckers burn.

Let's just hope that Anonymous doesn't puss out on a threat again.

Well, that's part of the stupidity that is this "group"

Anon took down CNN (or whatever) - "Don't mess with us!" Blah blah blah
Anon took down nothing - "Well, we're not really a group so it's just some random person making threats in our name"

They're whole "mission statement" is nothing more than a bullshit cop-out to hide their shortcomings. They're trying to have their cake and eat it too

If they succeed, then hey, Zynga and its horrid business practices will be gone. If not, then well, what changes?

This is anonymous were talking about. For those who say this isn't Anon's M.O., do not know anonymous very well. What scare governments about anonymous is anonymous has no M.O., they have no central agenda and they causes they take are just as chaotic as their actions. It is why NATO holds anonymous just as a high as a threat as al-Qaeda. Anonymous is the true spirit of chaos and it looks for excuse or justification for its actions. Anonymous is a bunch of random people from all over the globe doing what ever they feel like. At one minuet Anon is the defender of animal rights, and the next minuet they kill your cat because you didn't tip the pizza delivery guy. How successful anonymous is completely depends on what part or what members of anonymous decides to act, and how they act.

Hey! Hey! Does anyone remember before 2006? Does anyone remember a time before that fucking shitpile that was Chanology? Does anyone remember when Anonymous was about fucking shit up for fun and causing a bit of chaos here and there?

Does anyone even remember Anonymous before it was taken over by social-justice assclowns who go against everything Anonymous used to stand for?

Fuck this gay earth
Chanology was never what Anonymous was truly about, anonymous at its core never cared for values, morals or whats right. There actions are based on what suits them (or that particular anon) at the time. Who knows next week anonymous attacks the Susan B Komen Foundation for trying to cure Breast Cancer. Anonymous is like a Stand-alone-complex from the anime Ghost in the shell without a Laughing man or a central cause, goal or agenda, you have a few hackers that know their shit, few hundred script kiddies that know shit and thousands of retards willing to zerg rush shit just because they are bored.

Best way to describe anon is, they do it for the LULZ, there whole attitude is "Fuck you I do what I want" (complete with sixties Spiderman http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yR7LZxp-IU) and not give a shit about how any one else feels about it.

Honestly Anonymous needs to shut the fuck up.

Seriously.

They're macho internet hero bravado is getting old and annoying. They're sounding more and more like LulZSec every day now. What happened to shutting down the internet? What happened to screwing over Iran and Iraq like they said they were going to?

Nothing?

I'm so sick of hearing about them. Who cares about Zynga? They're going downhill fast and by threatening to release all their games for free is not going to do much more than hit a dead horse with a sledgehammer fired from a cannon at point blank range. ITS POINTLESS SELF MASTURBATION and they need to shut up.

Anywho, thats my 2 cents worth.

Anonymous had the potential to do some real good on this lawless frontier called the internet but instead they've relegated themselves to making idle threats to any target they deem acceptable and twirling their moustache at how everyone worries. Listen Anon: If you gonna ruin Zynga, then do it. Because right now you're being the villain in a Bond flick, talking about your evil master plan but not taking any action. Forewarning them is forearming them.

Targeting Zynga? really?
who's the bully/jerk/a-hole now Anon?
Zynga is already crippled by their own decisions there are better targets like EA or Disney after all EA have been a-holes for awhile now they need punishment and a lot of star wars fans are pissed off over them buying lucasfilm and making a 7th star wars

Hmmm, let's see here. Government and Anon at each other's throats, Anon getting on people's respective shit-lists for no good reason, EA making itself look dumb every time it speaks, Zynga and EA at each other's throats, Anon planning to hit Zynga, entire internet ready to wage war against government...

Mwa ha ha ha haaa...

Just as planned.

At this point i'm pretty sure Anonymous just throws a dart at a board of possible targets to decide who to go after next. Why the hell do they care that Zynga is outsourcing jobs and not about any of the other companies that are doing it, just because Zynga is in the game industry?

Of all the targets, they pick this? Not sure if genius level nonsense or really dumb. My ears perked up when they threatened facebook last November, but mostly because I figured if they really wanted to piss off the world that would be a nice place to start.

More than anything it seems they're very good at inconveniencing small groups of people and occasionally causing minor mayhem.

With all this supposed power, why can't they fix bigger problems?
