I don't know much about the Zynga situation, but from reading the article I immediately assumed that it was just some disgruntled ex-Zynga employee trying to get some revenge on the company that laid him off. I understand that Anonymous does a lot of stupid things, but this just doesn't really fit... Doesn't it seem more likely that this 'threat' is simply the e-raging of one or a few people, rather than the group as a whole?

*sigh*
Targeting Zynga is like torpedoing a sinking ship.
You only do it because you want to watch something burn.

Didn't anonymous promise to destroy the internet a little while ago? Where did that go?
Reality dealt the cards, and Common Sense called their bluff.

Well considering how anonymous now basically consists of a bunch of children who THINK they know how computers works, I'd absolutely love to see them attempt this.
Hah, I was thinking the same thing.

If you have a decent server setup with proper load balancing (which Zynga obviously have with the size of their userbase), it's pretty easy to deflect a DDOS attack, which is all Anon seem to be capable of, what with it requiring zero skill and all...

Naw man, it's something only reserved for super internet hackers like Anon that can totally hack the FBI, NSA, DOD, erhm... BBC?
Seriously, at this point I no longer even think Anon is capable of keeping up the anonymity that makes them think they're so special. All they seem to do is brag about what they're planning, even doing it with their actual Facebooks...
