I know it's not over yet and sure there were some great announcements but I was expecting a bit more from Microsoft in the line of decent games for natal (kinect sounds stupid now) or otherwise. Yet they announce the slim 360 which looks like someone just dented an elite and covered it in varnish and what is presumably the start of shovelware for natal.

I have mixed feelings about valve pulling the carpet too. It's one thing to make an announcement a suprise but to completely turn tail on the "no valve games for ps3 because its immpossible to code for" arguement is a dick move. Sony wasn't too bad but but the move was a bit dissapointing. Ninetendo's list of games announcement's was good but I was a bit under-whelmed by the 3DS, possibly in the knowledge that a 3DS lite and possibly an XL variant will be released a few months after.

So ending the rant, what are your E3 let downs?

I think there were too few announcements at Sonys Conference. Most games they showed trailers for, were games we already knew were in production, because they made the bad of decision showing gameplay and trailers just weeks before E3.

There was nothing on Timesplitters. That makes me sad.

I was hoping that during the EA event, after Crytek got done demoing Crysis 2, right when they were about to leave, they said "oh, and one more thing..."

Room darkens, and from the screen we hear "Its time to split!"

I would crap my pants in happiness if that happened...

I've got Portal 2, Fable 3, Halo Reach, Gears of War 3, Assassins Creed Brotherhood, Call of Duty Black Ops, Xbox 360 slim, Kinect, a handful of Kinect games, Nintendo 3DS, Golden Sun: Dark Dawn, and Kid Icarus: Uprising to look forward to.
Plus, Ocarina of Time and Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater for 3DS.

Why yes, that is a long list. So no, I am not disappointed.

Not a damn bit.

GT5 release date and a new Twisted Metal? Yes please.

And a sequel I've waited over twenty goddamned years for?

Hell yes please.

That would be awesome.

Yeah I think if they had kept the Killzone 3 trailers back instead of just relying on the Twisted metal announcement they would've done much better.

As a proud Nintendo fanboy, I'm happy. The past few years have not been good years for us, but Nintendo is really getting back in stride now.

Sony's was okay. It was really boring for a while but they managed to pull off a few good announcements at the end to prevent MS-level fail.

Microsoft's was terrible. Seriously, like as bad as Sony 2006 or Nintendo 2008.

Yeah, I wished they'd have at least saved Killzone 3 and Infamous 2 until E3.
The overall line-up at E3 was great tough, so I'm not complaining.

Off topic: Damnit IamQ, your Pan's Labyrinth avatar always freaks me out.
Guillermo Del Toro sure knows how to ramp up the suspense in a movie.

Xbox 360 slim
Care to explain why you're excited for this. Honest question btw.
I am excited for it because my Xbox 360 red ringed again and it's the same price as the regular 360 was. Plus, it might have less chance of breaking, and it looks sexy. :)

Oh, and also, I've just run out of space on my hard drive, and it comes with a 250 GB one.

ehhh nintendo i personaly thought was the best. They had way more in the line up for upcoming games that for once was trying to get some games back and not some gimmiks on who can now milk monney out of now of the wii motion .

Cause the tiger bit with i think natal was kinda corny......

pshhha sony made me laugh on what they had this year.

Ah well that explains it. Hopefully it has no RROD issues and that problem will become a bad dream for you.

I don't really like the look of it personally, a bit too glossy.

I was sorely disappointed that Eidos didn't show Deus Ex: Human Revolution to the public. Other than that, the conference has been much better than it has in recent years.

Star wars battlefront 3? Is that even in development? I thought the studio that made it went bust ages ago.

I think at one point she calls the tiger a dog. Or it might have been a kitty.

Loved Nintendo for all of their bit.

Purchasing a slim on Friday, the ESPN reveal looks VERY promising.

Overall, not disappointed, but there are always those who are after every e3.
