The last time I used a portapotty, I lifted up the seat cover (without sitting down, thankfully) to find out that a hive of Yellow-jackets had taken up residence.

Did any one hear about that guy, he lives in my state, he dropped his wallet in one of those long term huge tanks, he tried to reach in and grab it, AND FELL IN. It was a day before anyone found him. He was knee deep in human feces for a day. Funny Thing: his wallet probably only had a few bucks in it.
OT: Yeah, I use them, but usually have to hold my nose because the smell is so bad.

I'm fine with public restrooms. Port-a-potties, however, I reallyyyy need to pee before I'll use one of those. And I won't sit down; I'll do the ridiculous squatting thing.

Though, nothing's worse than a port-a-potty in the dark. You can't see a damn thing in there. D:

I use it all the time. Nothing to fear man. The smell is horrible at times but it's not that scary.

Yes. All the time. In fact, since I'm living in a dorm, I only have access to public bathrooms. I've used outhouses that smelled horrible(they were just holes in the ground with a metal covering) that didn't even have doors, just three walls and a short, zig-zag-y "hallway" in front. And I've been camping to places that didn't have ANY bathrooms before.

How does that work? Well, you dig a hole, then you take off your pants-[INAPPROPRIATE MATERIAL REMOVED]-then all you have to do is bury the bundle of leaves, return the eggs to the nest, wait for your pants to sun-dry, and you're good to go. Simple, really.

I also "went" on a train, once.

Only if I really, really, really need to go, but even then I might just hold it in if I know I'll be home soon. I'd much rather be uncomfortable for a few minutes then have to sit in someone else's piss and/or crap while staring at a bunch of poorly drawn dicks.

And I never use urinals unless it's a one-person bathroom with a lock. I just don't feel comfortable doing my business out in the open. Not to mention I don't think just having to pee warrants using a public bathroom unless I'm not getting another chance for a while.

Yes, though I either use seat covers or fashion makeshift ones. When you have to go, you have to go.

Porta Potties I typically won't sit in though.
