Are you a profile watcher/stalker

I have several profiles currently open.
Just people I am suspicious about and watching, waiting for them to make a wrong move, then I act.
At the moment, no profiles of the users I find interesting are open. No need.

Yeah, sometimes I look at profiles, if I find a users post particularly interesting. It's not stalking though, honestly, if you didn't want the information there, you wouldn't put it there, looking at somebody's public profile is incredibly different from stalking.

Wow, you must be the oldest person here!
I'm surprised you can use a computer what with flight being invented after your birth. XD

(Sorry, I couldn't resist. Your paranoia was enticing...)
It only says that year because it doesn't go back past 1900, so I cannot make it more accurate. and I'm not gonna set it on 1900, like some people do.
And you'd be surprised. There have been many places more technologically advanced, but not of this plane of existence. And this one doesn't have to worry about physical age, I can just inherit a new shell if/when I need one. :D

Yes. No.

Stalkerish would be to call up extraneous information, and then use Googlemaps to locate their house before sitting under that lamp post just over the road and peering up at your bedroom where your face is illuminated by looking at the computer. Can you see me?

This.

Stalking is totally different then popping in to someone's profile for a sec.

Do you travel into other user profiles in the hopes of getting to know more about them? if yes, is that stalker-ish or not?
The point of a profile is to let people know about yourself. I ususally look at them investigate trolls.
Good point. You win this round Steam but you haven't won the war yet.

Oh, all the time. May do it to you in a bit OP.
I even browse through some of their older posts at times, just to see what they are like. I do the same for threads and the ZP comments section to see how many people get Wrathed.

And it may be a wee bit stalkerish.
Even more so if you just admit you're going to stalk the OP.
I've got my eye on you now, Ulysses!

OT: Only if I am adding them as a friend. In which case it's unavoidable
Your profile is a world of surprises

Not really...I just click to see if there is a photo. If there's not, I go back to the forums.

That said, I don't even have a photo.

War lol? Then again the Escapist forums are a more devistating battlefield than all of those in the CoD games put together.

Not really, I mainly do it only with people that I am friends with, or that I have added. Its not my thing really. Especially with a giant tide of people I barely know coming in and out these days. I mean, I'm on enough as it is already, checking people's profiles would just double that time.

I've done it once or twice. Usually when I find a person's posts interesting, or if I add someone as a friend... it's usually the former to be honest.
I wouldn't say it was really stalker-ish, but now you've made me doubt myself...

I do that sometimes, if someone catches my attention. I don't really consider it stalking, if there's something I don't want people to see, I just don't put it in my profile. If I want to show it to someone I know a little better I can always send a message to them.

Not to that extent.

I do just to look at their posts and see what they're talking about, but never just doing it because I hope they post a picture.

I've done it on here quite a bit. Helps put things in perspective. On a side note; I recently tracked down an amateur porn star from ohio with nothing but a stage name who disappeared about 10 years ago. Sent her a message on her myspace telling her she has more fans on the web than she knows and mentioned her former exploits. She never did respond. Ah well. Shouldn't have come on so creepy.
