It depends on what you consider to be a good gamer. I can play on normal and only die a few times, but it seems like hard is the new normal for experienced gamers (even though most are lieing about it).

I'm good enough, don't have the time to game much now which is frustrating, getting a bit rusty at some things.

I've got the number 1 slot on Bulletstorms Echoes mode on PS3 though, but that's been less about actual skill and more about very good planning.

It depends on the type of game - I mean, you could give me a strategy game, and I'd look at it for hours and not be able to figure anything out, and you could give me a driving game and I'd veer off track within minutes, but if you gave me an RPG and a few hundred hours, I'd eventually become very good at it. Now that I think about it, I'm not very good at games, but that doesn't mean that I don't/can't enjoy them.

I see myself good at TF2, all Single player FPS's i've played, but I hate how inconsistant I am with CS:S. Some rounds I play and I can be leading the server the entire way, yet next round I could be absolutely god awful. I don't know what it is.

Not in particular. I'm at a funny spot, I like to play RTS a lot and I find that easy is way to easy and then I jump up to normal only to be annihilated almost every time. Pretty much goes the same with good number of games I play.

28 and been gaming since before I could walk, this is a story my parents have told me. I have got to admit though, I'm a pretty poor-to-average gamer and typically suck like nobody's business.

True story, when I borrow Gears of War from a friend and the screen told me to hit the start button it just skipped everything and screamed Game Over at me.

I am mainly a P.C. gamer, i am pretty good at FPS's with mouse and keyboard give me a controller and im pretty poor not terrible but not good. RTS im pretty damn good, especially C&C red alert 2. Probably the game i would say i am best at, i still go through it playing it on expert (not the actually difficulty title but i can't remember it) and i was pretty high every month when they used to do ranked matches etc...
Most others i can do average at except sports games which i really suck at.

Ild say im a talentless gamer who will spend a long time mastering a game just through sheer bloody mindedness.

For example I love playing shmups like Dodonpachi, Deathsmiles but it takes me longer to beat those games on 1 credit than many of my shmup playing peers.

Ive played PC FPS games for years and while im good in general ild say that the use of autosave has lowered my skill with other games that dont use it.

In Red Orchestra 2 beta i'm getting a higher K/D with my scoped Mosin Nagant than Vasily Zaytsev himself. (Including a 300m headshot on the enemy Tank Commander) God damn I'm the boss.

I'm always above average; ranging from good to great. I never go "pro" or anything though(Screw you, Metagame! You're no fun). My weakness would be RTS games. I'm just way too passive to be any good. Basebuildng will always be about defense and camping to me.

I'm good at shooters, stealth games and rpgs and I often play them on the hardest difficulty. I'm not so good however at racing games and the only rts that I ever was any good at was red alert II.

I can compete fairly evenly most days and, I'm sure, like most people I have my moments of clarity where headshots are a dozen a minute, grand strategies slot neatly into place and I take corners like the Stig.

That doesn't last long, but it's nice while it does because I don't even have to try.

In modern warfare 2? Hide your kids and hide your wife because I'm calling in a tactical nuke (I don't camp. Maybe if I'm about to get a killstreak I'll take it slow but i don't camp). In black ops? I really don't know what I'm doing wrong but I'm just not as good. If it's non multiplayer as well then I own fallout 3 and new vegas and most rpg games i come across even if i have to take a 2 month break because of some bs instakill boss or grinding. In fighting games I'm only really good at Mortal Kombat. When I play multiplayer though I'm 15th in prestige in black ops I tend to be a noobinator. My skill comes from my ability to stay out of the enemies line of fire and get behind them. I prefer working the outside of the map and finding where enemy players are headed.

I'm 22, and have been playing since before i could talk.

I tend to do okay in multiplayer games, compared to the average player, some games more than others topping the post-match scoreboards once in a while, latest games beeing MW2 and BFBC2.

Once i get pittet versus peopel that plays whatever game we're playing with a more serious mindset, i get my ass whooped, oh HoN, how i hated floating somewhere between the n00bs not trying to understand the game proberbly, and the skille people capable of outplaying me every time. HoN was especially brutal in this way, cause in the end, the worst player would always end up getting blamed for everyones mistakes.

As for single-player, it varies.
I played through GoW1 with a friend, and luckily he could beat Ares, cause i couldn't spam the button fast enough, to win the sword-locks.
I don't remeber laying down any recent games for good, due to not beeing able to complete them.
I tend to go with the normal difficoulty though, since i need to learn the game, before shinign at it, and i prefer to learn without having my ass whooped back to the loading screen every 5 minnutes.

I am horrible at gaming. Literally, I'm just bad at it. But I still play obsessively to try and overcome the natural handicap of being utterly shit.

I can do most games pretty well, in CoD before I stopped bothering to get Xbox Live Gold I was pretty good, played again round a friends house a couple of days ago and was top almost every game, so I'd say I was alright at that, me and the same friend also went throgu GoW2 on Insane difficulty and plan to do co-op on GoW3 on Insane as well.
Music games such as guitar hero are pretty easy, I can play the drums, guitar and bass on Expert and vocals on Medium and Hard on some songs, but then again I've been playing each of those instruments for 2 years plus now so picking up the fake versions of each weren't too difficult.
I suck rather a lot at RTS games though, can only normally do them on the easiest difficulty, sometimes a medium difficulty if I'm lucky, mainly because I'm the slowest player ever when it comes to RTS games.
