Like anyone could be as special as me.
Except me.Kangol said:We are all special, especially if we need to make threads to question why others believe so.
Nobody is special.
And me.Kangol said:Except you, obviously.Amaurus said:Except me.Kangol said:We are all special, especially if we need to make threads to question why others believe so.
Nobody is special.
There Isn't an option for, Yes I am It's not a secret either. Im brillaint face it.antipunt said:Do you think you are 'special'? By this, I mean, when I was younger I believed that I was (in secret). And I'm not even talking elementary school, I mean high school. It wasn't until I entered college that I learned the truth: I am but one 'average' individual in a mass of six billion people. No, I won't become a rock star. No I won't become a philosopher. And pretty much, anything I do won't amount to anything 'meaningful' on a macro-scale. The only meaning in my life will come from small things: like friends and family (and all that jazz).
When I was younger, I thought I'd change the world in some way, or make some sort of impact. My 'problems' seemed like trials in a large meaningful scheme. But now, I know that this is all rubbish. Though I sometimes 'feel' special, I logically know it to be false. Recently I saw Spiderman 2 and when Peter Parker was going through his issues and life-tests, I suddenly had a resurge of 'that feeling' that I had when I was younger. But logically, I dismissed it because I suspect that it's some sort of human-programming/biochemistry. This poll will confirm whether or not this is true
So I ask you Escapist: Did you ever think you were 'special'. Going to become the next superhero? Or maybe there is 'something about you'; a hidden secret that others will 'never understand', or something along those lines. You get my drift =]
The reason why I didn't include this was because I was afraid people would choose it just to be funny =]McCa said:There Isn't an option for, Yes I am It's not a secret either. Im brillaint face it.
And the "No only psycotics think this" Is not such an option?antipunt said:The reason why I didn't include this was because I was afraid people would choose it just to be funny =]McCa said:There Isn't an option for, Yes I am It's not a secret either. Im brillaint face it.
Touche. I'll add 'yes and it's not a secret either' inMcCa said:And the "No only psycotics think this" Is not such an option?antipunt said:The reason why I didn't include this was because I was afraid people would choose it just to be funny =]McCa said:There Isn't an option for, Yes I am It's not a secret either. I picked that one as an honest answer, only people who delude themselves think their special, reality crushes their fantasy's.McCa said:And the "No only psycotics think this" Is not such an option?antipunt said:The reason why I didn't include this was because I was afraid people would choose it just to be funny =]McCa said:There Isn't an option for, Yes I am It's not a secret either. I actually find the notion to be quite comforting.Latinidiot said:i have the same problem.
it's actually pretty depressing to realize you're just a little piece of an infinite whole universe
