Well the first thing I'd do is a flip.
Then something with a liquid and throwing it around, maybe play pong with something.

Then have a fight.

I think he would just want to see the shavings fly off.
Oh well. That makes sense, he probably just overlooked the risk.
Aye, it's a bit of a reference to a comment of Phill Jupitus' on QI, while they were talking about zero-G.

They also mentioned thereupon that pencils aren't actually allowed on spacecraft, for the reason of the tips breaking and getting into bits of machinery and such.

How about drinking? Or better yet, smoking a joint. You could keep the smoke in a perfect little area and continue to recycle it. Freaking awesome.
Agreed, its like your own private zero-g hotbox

I'd take a bucket of water and then smooth the water out into a flat disc.

then I'd careflly place myself just on top of the water and scream out to every one nearby

"Hey guys check it out........I'm JESUS!!!"

Leafblower might be a bit excessive, perhaps a hand fan?

I'd see what happens when you smoke or drink in zero gravity, what happens to the substance in question. If Tintin is to be believed, you can just drink bubbles of Whiskey!
curious fact: the old Dutch word for a pint of whiskey(mostly used in combination with Cognac though) can be translated to bubble.

and yeah, they're bubbles. that's how liquid behaves in space.

OT: play a game of football (soccer). should be most amusing. Or perhaps have a Matrix: Revolutions climax fight.

Wait... where? Haven't found one, guess I use the wrong search terms. BUT I found that: <url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUIokQ36rbA>cat in zero-g
I'd try that. Just need a bunch of cats...

I would get a whole load of bouncey balls and a sling shot and see how long I can go without getting hit in the face.

I'd be pretty boring, I'd just close my eyes and float. Probably with some background music.

Or I'd set a lot of shit on fire.

Zero-g fire would indeed be interesting to see. I'd also drink and eat. Because it would be awesome to see all those things floating.

Which is about two nanoseconds, to be fair.

Another fun thing to do in zero gravity - crack open a box of Nerf guns and start exchanging foam dart barrages with my quirky alien shipmates!

I second the fire idea! I'd also love to find out what sleeping in zero G is like, how animals adapt to it (cats and snakes in particular), and whether a "the enemy's gate is down" mentality actually helps with the inevitable vertigo.

On a far less serious note, I'd like to know if I could propel myself forward by farting.
Edit: damnit, ninja'd

I say we combine the many, many sex ideas out there, and then tack on that jetpack idea of yours. It will either be incredibly awesome or horribly funny.
I tried to imagine that, and now i can't stop laughing.

play bass in zero G.

there is atmosphere, right, or else the first thing I would do is turn blue.
Yes, of course there is atmosphere. You're on a spaceship.
Well, have you ever SEEN a spaceship with atmosphere? Why can't the tech guys at NASA realize a nice rug or a potted plant would be good for morale?

The budget doesn't allow for it. They can't even afford adequate lighting.

I have always wanted to swim in a bubble in zero g. I just think it would be awesome to swim around in a sphere shaped bubble poking out my head at different places.
