I'd get pissed at anyone who used my shit without my permission. It's why I have both my desktop and laptop passworded.

You wanna know why?

They all have and use their own computers, so they don't need to use my computer. If, for the purposes of this thread their computers didn't work and mine was the only one that did, yes, I know they wouldn't snoop around for something they don't know might or might not be there. Besides I'm the one that uses my computer, if they need to do something on it I'm usually right there watching them.

No, noone. Not the few friends I have (and I don't use the word "friend" lightly), nor anyone else. Some things are just personal, for instance ones PERSONAL computer. And no, theres no big secret(nor any smaller secrets that I wouldn't want to let in the open) I'd like to hide from anyone, sharing things that are mine and mine alone is just something I'd rather avoid doing. Obviously, if it was necessary, I'd let people I more or less trust use it(with supervision, so they wouldn't screw anything up, and yes, even people who aren't computer illiterate can screw things up at times), but if theres no real dire need, no bloody way.

Well... I might let them use the guest profile...

I'd have to think about it though.

Sure. I trust that they don't care enough to go searching for my secrets, or that they don't really want to know. Ignorance is bliss and all.

There's nothing on my computer that I don't want other people finding. There's no dodgy secrets or embarrassing websites on my computer.

But I still don't like other people going on it. It's MY computer. It's hard to explain, but I just really don't like other people on it. My computer is a part of my life, and I'm a private person.

Sure, I'd trust most people to use my laptop. There isn't too much that I'd need to worry about them finding.

My external harddrive on the other hand...

Nope, I just use the Internet as well, I mean, if I would peruse such lewd content...

OT: Same as most people, I have my password protected account on my computer and everyone else can use the other account.

2) N/A
3) No.
4) No.

I don't have anything to hide on my PC because I don't actually save any of that sorta stuff, but I do worry about other people messing up my computer.

No, there's nothing on my PC that I would object to my parents/ relations seeing, not sure they'd understand all the tumblr memes though.

Yes to All

I keep everything really personal on a different hard drive and if I expect company I just disconnect it. When I leave to go somewhere I just take it with me. I got some pretty personal shit on it.

1) No. Just no.
2) Yeah, he knows me well enough. He wouldn't care if he found anything.
3) Eehh... I'd let my sister IF I could keep an eye on her.
4) Sure, they're too stupid to find anything I've hidden anyway. xD

I certainly wouldn't mind friends[footnote]Though past experience tells me I should log out of Facebook and MSN first[/footnote] but I don't think I'd want my family looking. Some of the webcomics and such that I read are not to the sort of taste that they might understand... or accept.

Not that they're particularly incriminating, but the humour and such...

why not. they can find without major problems whatever is on that. ebooks , movies, series, games, porn, comics and huge amounts of music, nothing to be ashamed of or they arent allowed to see.

Yes to to all of them, except 2), as I'm currently single. I'm not a porn person, and I'm not logged in as /root. It's all good.

edit: Actually, I use Chromium and a dating site is prominently displayed in my 'most visited' list. That could be a bit embarrassing.

No. Not because I have porn everywhere or something, but because they'd probably use Internet Explorer. That's a good reason if you ask me.

1. Yeah, I've got nothing to hide from my friends.
2. Don't have one.
3. My brother's 19 months old, so he doesn't know how to use a computer.
4. Hmmm. I'd prefer it if my parents didn't know about the pony thing, so they're not being allowed on.
