Ok, I must be missing something, even if this worked at all, I fail to see how this would make games more fun.

I'm strongly reminded of another one of Microsoft's technology fails:

ROFLMAO haha Epic Fail. Same for Kinect, I'm with Yahtzee on the motion control being a gimmick thing. I mean its good for casual fun and in a group everyone gets a good laugh but when it comes to genres of games that weren't designed with it in mind (so most of them) it just doesn't cut it in terms of reliability and control.

One major screw up like this tells the consumer 1000 times more truth about the product than any advertisement, because it's an uncensored reveal of how it really works.
Or better yet, how it doesn't work. :p

The title of this article is misleading. It implies that the models are doing something wrong instead of the tech actually being the cause of the problems.

Wow, when I said I wasn't going to buy this, that was also assuming that it works.

I think the best indicator is the "Move left" notification, when the girl literally CAN'T move further left.

But...I mean, even if it did work, does that track game really look fun? Dance Central certainly has potential I'll admit, but I just don't see any sort of appeal in that track minigame.

To be fair the game designers probably designed it for people just a tidgy bit less spastic.

Of course it isn't fun. Microsoft just wants people to pay for something they can do for free and better in real life.

Kinect... More like, uh, can't next? I don't know, I'm tired.

Hell, I don't even need a mocking slogan, this shit just plain sucks. I won't be buying Move or a Wii either, but at least they work.

Nothing wrong with the device....they just got the dance moves wrong.

Music from Lady Dumdum does not help either.

Hmm....hot asain chicks....plus Natal....the possibilities are LIMITLESS!!!!!

Kinect's PR campaign is going to hell months before release, this is going to be a huge misstep for Microsoft, possibly costing them millions.

No damn wonder Nintendo choose those ridiculous white controllers over this thing

Exactly. At least I have a decent amount of fun playing Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort. I rarely play them because I obviously have better games, but they're not awful.

This game, however, does look awful. Nintendo never included "track" as one of their events simply because it's not fun in any way to pretend to run on a virtual track. At least with stuff like Tennis and Bowling, you're simulating a game that's fun in real life and it doesn't really detract from it just because you're playing a video game. The motions you make in Tennis and Bowling are the same motions you would make in the real-life counterpart.

This track game is the only thing that sets Kinect Sports apart from Wii Sports content-wise, but running in place does not actually feel like running. I just fail to see the demographic that Microsoft is gearing this towards. Casual gamers who pretend that Nintendo doesn't exist?

If kinect came with a cute asian girl i would totally buy it. But it doesn't. And it looks like crap, And it looks like it barely works.

I'm sorry what was that you had Asian models in my news.

But seriously this comes to no surprise to me. Kinect was a huge joke after the name change. Natal...now that had potential.
