You ever played a GTA game and slaughtered the police and other law enforcers for fun?

Totally! Saints Row is better though. I actually made my gang look kind of like cops. It creates a very odd game.

How often do would you do the good cop bad cop thing(i know it happens i was there for one), and would you use it on a specific group more then others(such as kids lighting fireworks, and there is a bylaw that restricts them)?

I was not a detective, sad to say, so I didn't do much with interviewing. Though in vice I did from time to time. That routine is sometimes used but it only works on
a) the very very young
or
B) the very very stupid

If some kids were lighting fireworks that shouldn't have them, I personally would take said fireworks bring them to evidence for disposal and than bring the kids home to their parents and let them know what's gong on. (I assume you mean like 12-14 year olds.)

Then your a better cop than we have here in britain! British cops are utter bastards for fitting people up. I once witnessed 6 cops turn up at a house with a bag of heroin, which they inserted into the drain pipe of the house. The n they knocked the door, served a search warrant, then pulled the heroin back out of the pipe and said look what we've found, oh dear! (for the record the guy was a known heroin dealer, but the bust was still bad)

I don't think you realize just how angry I got reading that. If you can't catch someone by the book than you aren't doing a good job. That's crooked and if they are doing stuff like that they don't deserve their job in any way.

I believe in a being a good person and helping my fellow man. So if it was like assault, murder, a purse snatching, you bet your ass. But I think most people should act like that.
Excessive force is hitting someone who is already in restraints. Excessive force is using your weapons when someone is unarmed and screaming at you. There is actually a chart with different levels of force (passive resistance, active resistance, active aggression, etc.) you are allowed to go ‘one level’ above what the other person is using.

Edit: I don’t carry the shield anymore but if I did, unless someone admits to murder or something probably not.

What was the most ridiculous arrest you've ever made? (exg: Arresting a man wearing nothing but a paper pirate hat and a hook on his hand)

You ever see reno 911? We got a call for a potential burglary in progress (this was about 7 in the afternoon in summer). The description was ?black male about 35? in a neighborhood of about 90% black population? yeah that helps. So I with a partner on foot patrol, show up a little later than a guy in a cruiser (Foot Pat for the win!) We find no trace of the house being broken into. The occupant of the house says ?I didn?t make any call like that. Why are you here bothering me? You are always here bothering me you fucking pigs!? We say alright, fine. Leave about 5 minutes later another call for the same thing about 2 blocks away, same description. Except this time we have ?he?s wearing a brown cowboy hat? That narrows it down. And since I was only two blocks away me and my partner bolt. When we show up There is the black male mid 30?s with a wearing brown cowboy hat? a black tshirt, black chuck tailors? and no pants of any sort.
guess what he was doing? He was looking into windows and jerking off into a potted plant he was carrying. So we chased him around the block about 3 times, cuz both me and my partner were running slow cuz we were hoping the other one would tackle him. Eventually I just decided I?ll have to do it. Turns out the guy was high out of his mind on meth.


That has to be in the top 3. We chased him around in a circle around the block for like 3 or 4 laps.

I will say this, compared to the shit i see in the jail, the shit on the street was nothing.

no mean if you and another cop catch kids doing something wrong, will you do good cop bad cop? that's what happened to me. my freind was carrying fireworks so one took them and let him off with a warning because we were not near people went he lit them off. the other cop was trying to 'convince' his co-worker that they should total ticket my freind

The KKK did a rally near our Mexican consulate. And than there was a counter rally. And a third rally to say how they don't like illegal immigrants or the KKK. (That last one was dumb cuz the consulate helps LEGAL immigrants or people become legal) We were all sure that shit would get out of control but it was pretty tame because we made them all stay 'outside of throwing distance' away from each other. Edit: Yes some of them spit but that individual gets pulled out handcuffed and sent away for assault before they can make things worse.

Depending on WHY he punched you could be nothing or it could be aggro assault (which means you hit someone but you had a good reason).

2. You don't have to UNLESS you've been Subpoena?d, which if you haven't and you waffle on them they might do. However I would urge you to do your civic duty and testify people who stab people shouldn?t be given any chance to roam the streets.

Yes very much so. But it's not a fairy tale, most people are not going to respect the authority of your office in any way, most people are not happy to see you, and most people assume a lot about you; you're a Fascist. You hate (insert whatever here). You?re racist against (whatever you want). But it's rewarding you help everyone around you as best you can and can take pride in that. When someone is happy to see you and you really help them out it's awesome.

Illegally? No actually. I downloaded a ton until it became a illegal though. I didn't stop out of my boyscoutism though it was because my computer was too old and crappy to run the software at the time. And since than i've felt it's too much effort.

What was your most frightening moment on the force?

Thankfully I personally never had to deal with a standoff... But undercover work is frightening in general. I was in the gang unit briefly. My first arrest Being in a room with a wire (which by the way now a-days is about the size of an eraser head) with 5 guys who are all carrying guns... who search me before entering and took away my only weapon.
That made me sweat really bad. They questioned why I was sweating and I than played it off as the clanks (withdraws). I bought the stuff made it out. The other guys ran inside and arrested all of them. (and FYI The amount I purchased was $8,000) worth and they had a lot more. All of them also had illegal weapons and other outstanding warrants. Still... scary as hell.

That could go on and on. If you?ve ever had someone turn to you and say ?It?s my fist and it?s my ass, and I can do what I want with it.? Or seen a grown man cry and hide in terror from the idea of using a shower, if you've noticed that many homeless guys pee next to the toilet but not in it, if you've see to men fight nearly to the death over a magazine, or if you've seen two trannies fight in a lobby... if you've seen all that... You have a small idea what it?s like to work in corrections.

Attorneys are trained to realize when someone is a poor witness, you need to stay as part of their case. Because, the more evidence they have compiled the less likely it will go to trial. Well over half (i wanna say something like 3/4) of cases don't go to trial. One major reason is if the prosecution has a very strong case the defense will plead out to get a lighter sentence, knowing they can't win. You might be that one extra piece that creates a slam dunk and if you back out the case won?t be strong enough to prevent a trial and than this guy will walk. If you do what you need to you might be scared for a while but eventually you will know that you did the right thing.
You will not look foolish; statements are read in a very dry manner not re-enacted like a play. They'll say "And on the night of (date) you said "I saw (suspect's name) stab (victim), is that true?" and you'll say yes.
They won't say "So you were screaming like a mad woman when officer smith asked you what you saw." Actually, if they even do bring that up it will be to strengthen the case people don't get hysterical when they saw nothing.
The prosecution will make sure you?re very well prepared and understand what?s going to happen. It?s not at all like TV.
Court can be very very scary but it needs to be done.
If you truly are frightened of that let them (the attorneys) know they will do what needs to be done.

All drugs you have to watch people carefully cuz you never know what you might suddenly need an ambulance. I?m not sure what ice means to you; some regions it means cocaine some it means meth.

Pot: You can expect them to be pretty spacey and usually fairly easy to deal with.

Ecstasy: A strong desire to keep moving and touching everything possible

Cocaine: Usually very very hyper and kind of impervious to pain.

Crack: Could be unable to stay awake or they could be doing back flips.

LSD: Expect to be talking to someone who is not there. And may or may not think that you are in fact; a giant talking blue iguana.

Meth: Meth is the worst; these people are usually impervious to pain, very aggressive, and insist on being nude.

Alcohol: Can be very mellow or very aggressive. Expect vomit though. Totally brings out a person?s id.

That being said all drugs you need to be careful cuz you can?t really expect anything except that it?s gonna get real stupid real quick.

I once had a woman high on ecstasy grab my crotch and tell me how she loves a guy in uniform. She quickly got handcuffed and up against the cruiser. I was than verbally abused and told I might be a big man but not in the pants, and that I could never handle all that woman. (All 90 pounds of her!)
She got an assault an officer charge. (Ps. Don?t even ask cuz I?ll tell you now: No, never, no way in hell.)
