Periods that would be better than ww2: Industrial revolution, war of independence, the american civil war, the gulf war, British controlled India, 18th century Caribbean piracy, ww1.
the french revolution as a setting would simply ruin the game: everyone was already fucking dieing, so there would be no challenge to it.Littaly said:Female Assassin: Yes
World War II: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
That would take away half the charm of Assassin's Creed. There are millions of settings to explore all over the world all over the time. It doesn't matter from which angle you do WWII, it's still done to death.
The French revolution would be awesome if you ask me ^^
Or, alternatively, to play as John Wilkes Booth.Godofgame67 said:I'd like one set in the Civil War. with a mission where you kill John Wilks Booth. WWII seems interesting too.
Rome would be hard to explain the gear the assassin would have to wear, and it would have to take out the new things the game has, like smoke bombs and such. It has a lot it could do with story but ehh. Feudal Japan would rock though.Nickolai77 said:Go backwards, why not Ancient Rome?
Ancient Rome was a hugely diverse city with slaves soldiers and merchants from all over the Empire, a city which combines awesome architecture- the coliseum and triumphal arches for example, with a huge labyrinth of slum housing. There is also plenty of written material from that era which would be useful for finding historical characters to bump off.
I would also support setting a game in colonial India, the French Revolution, the English or American Civil War and perhaps Tudor England.
