Some cheap plantronics ones, for like 20 bucks. They have poor sound quality but the microphone is the clearest I have ever heard, ever. It's quite amazing actually. Good for skype and LoL.

I got a pair of BOSE headphones for Christmas and I adore them so. I even use them to muffle the noise around the house.

They also work on shutting out trains, street preachers, and obnoxious cousins. =D

These babies. And I absolutely love 'em.
Had a pair of those, the mic was terrible.
Works fine for me, don't know what you're talking about. Its even an improvement over my last ones.

I've got the Plantronics 777.
Me too. I don't listen to music through headphones, I have a really nice set of Bose Speakers for that, or the ones Toyota deigned to fit in my Corolla.

Tritton Ax 720's for gaming, Beyer Dynamic DT 770's for music. Pricy, but dear god is the sound quality amazing. They're also massive. http://www.sweetwater.com/images/items/1800/DT770pro-xlarge.jpg

I don't really listen to music, so my Triton Ax PC Pro Headset is my primary for gaming. I have however done fairly extensive research into the subject for my sister's Christmas present. Sennheiser HD 2xx headphones are as far as I can tell the best for the money at any price level under $300. I got her a pair of HD 201s for $30. Beats headphones are re-branded and marked up Sennheisers.

The original ipod headphones.

Why? Because I love being a cheap bastard.
But they're not cheap! Try buying a new pair from Apple. They are not worth the price.

I have two pairs I use regularly:

I use these Sony headphones for running/working out because they hook around the ear and stay in regardless of what I'm doing:

I use these SteelSeries headphones for gaming/at work because they are the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn.

A set of Sony MDR XD200's
http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/images/G/01/electronics/detail-page2/B0007N55NW-1.jpg

I got em for I think $20, and the sound quality is amazing. It also comes with a 6 foot cord, which is overkill of course, but kind of nice sometimes. If I could somehow rig my Turtle Beach X41's to work on my computer, I would, but I don't have the adaptor for it.
That's fine, these things are comfy as fuck and are really great.

When I am not home, I use my regular iPod headphones.

A Plantronics .655 DSP for my PC. Good sound, good microphone (I use Skype a lot), fairly happy with them. Sound is very balanced, very good and crisp lows and mids, bass isn't overpowering and the USB connectivity is nice. I also like that it has volume and mic mute controls on the headset and not on the wire. I hate the little control box on the wire. Very comfortable too

On the go I use a Nokia BH-505 bluetooth headset. Great sound quality, great battery life, practically weightless and to top it off, water-resistant. I've listened to music while riding my bike in the rain with these puppies (rain, sweat and mud) and they are flawless. They are slightly awkward to wear at first, on my head at least they feel like they are just about to fall off, but that's just an impression, they are very stable and pretty impossible to shake off.
