I was depressed that other movies still can't get computer graphics right in the year 2009 when Avatar can make a whole film using it. Well about 90% of the film anyway. the graphics in a movie like say GIJoe were disgusting. How can movies have such crap graphics on such huge budgets?

It's kinda understandable though. Maybe they just tripped and fell into the Uncanny Valley [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/UncannyValley], or they had depression symptoms before seeing Avatar. And the plot is depressing, when you think about it from the humans' side.

Anyway, that was... stupid. Avatar wasn't really that action-y except for near the end, and even that can't compare to over action movies I've seen.
Still, poor guy. At least he'll be the only person (I know of) to die in this way. It's unique.

Quoted for Win. Avatar was pretty intense action wise at points. Especially in 3D from the front row. Real smart move on my part but then again it had the only seats left in the house since I was running late. Anyways I liked it but moral of the story: UP > x.

P.S. I must not have a very good bar set for intense. Note to self, watch more Michael Bay movies.

Watch Gurren Lagann, You Won't Be Disappointed. As Otaku-ish As That Sounds, I Wasn't That Big Into Anime When I Saw It, And It Drew Me In The First 5 Minutes.


ANYWAY, With Avatar, I Thought That The Visuals And Dynamic Fighting Scenes Were The Redeeming Qualities Of The Movie But, I'll Be Honest I've Never Seen Pocahontas, So I Can't Really Judge The Plot.

Agreed. I personally enjoyed the movie.. Not my favorite but still fun.
