I think Axl's missed the point here... Eeeeeeeverybody hates him and everyone associates the good bits of Guns n Roses with Slash, primarily because Axl's a jumped-up diva whose talent only exists in his head. He's not trying to prevent "confusion", he's trying to break the association between Guns n Roses and Slash because that's where the talent lies, and they've been dire since his departure.

I mean really, who bought Guns n Roses albums for their awesome vocals... anyone?

C'mon, don't be shy...

No?

Exactly.

From a personal standpoint, I quite like seeing him get screwed over (and am saddened that he might win this) because he constantly screws over people that pay to see him (refer to his latest tour) and, when all's said and done, is basically a jackass.
I thought Axl was the only original member left and everybody else was in Velvet Revolver?

I think I'd have to side with Axl on this one to be honest. If this is all true according to Axl then Activision is being their stereotypical prick selves and screwing over anyone possible. If you have a written agreement and then go back on it then you should expect a celebrity to get pissed and want to sue you for as much as possible. 20$ Million Dollars though? I think thats too much money even though we all know that Activision could more than likely afford it.
When you hear about someone suing for 20 million it basically means they're looking to settle for a 1/5 or 1/4 of the original value. It's rare that it goes above 1/2.
I'm completely aware and stand by my original statement :) While alot of us struggle to meet ends meet with minimum or slightly above minimum wage jobs it's nice to know that celebrities can haggle for enough to buy their next tropical island or harem of hookers.
At least haggling takes some effort. Tiger Woods, even with the loss of endorsements resulting from his personal scandals, was still able to earn $90,000,000 this year. Ninety million dollars a year for hitting a little ball and walking behind it around a scenic golf course. Beats the Hell outta haggling over $20 million, if ya ask me. And even for someone with a hooker harem appetite like Tiger's, that's a lotta hookers.

For once I'm inclined to side with Activision here. Not for any legal reasons, just I think Axl Rose is a twat.

They should just have Kotick and Axl fight it out in the ring.
On pay-per-view.
I'd pay to see it. Two douches beating the shit out of each other? Awesome!

I'm getting to the point where I just wish that anyone, reguardless of them being innocent or greedy, would get struck by lightning every time they filed any kind of lawsuit. I'm getting really sick of of all this suing.

Yeah I've heard about that, just how bad was it, or was there also some fucked up message as well or something?
