So, bank holiday and all, I went to London over the weekend.
What else can a nature lover do in London but visit Kew Gardens? Well not much to be honest, seeing as it is little more than a concrete slab with a river running through it. But it does have this rather special place. Kew Gardens is a big park area with glass houses, various ornaments, and lots of plants flowers from all over the world.
It being spring the ducks have been having some hanky panky out of sight, and the inevitable has happened with them having a bunch of little'ns. A young mother swam over to me with her litte'ns in tow...
Nothing strange here. They come quite close to me at my park all the time, although not normally with the ducklings. What I really didn't expect was for her to wander up bank past me and leave me with her babies unattended! I really was close enough to reach out and touch these things, but by force of sheer will I was able to resist.
Eventually the mother returned and they all left though, which was a real bummer.
Anyone else seen the new life springing up about them? Perhaps displaying the epic cuteness of baby animals everywhere?
