My grandfather always makes us look at the baby birds in various nests whenever we visit. They're pretty cute, some of them at least.

Are you sure the title doesn't have a typo?

On topic, I used to live by a small lake about a decade ago, and we had plenty of ducks around there. Never got much of the appeal. They aren't as bad as most other birds - the chirping at about 4 AM pisses me off, at least ducks aren't the type to, well, chirp. But then again, where I live now there are no ducks anywhere close.

I prefer seagulls, the sky rats. Sea gull cries are probably the most enjoyable sound any bird makes. And I've heard and seen a lot of birds...

Ducklings are adorable.

Brent geese are evil b_____ds.

You should feed the ducklings McVities HobNobs, but not bread. If you take a HobNob in one hand and some bread in the other, soak both in water and squeeze, you'll see why. The biscuit crumbles. The bread forms a lump. Without a stomach full of little stones (which adult ducks have) the ducklings can't actually process bread and it jams up their digestion. HobNobs don't give them any such trouble, and yes ducks will climb into your lap for HobNobs or take long pieces out of your mouth if you bend down for them.

You should not have resisted temptation. You should have grabbed one and cloned it and given one to everybody.
Ducks are so fucking awesome you guys.

But yeah, pretty much all the baby animals I see around me are lambs.
They are cute and all, I guess, but they get old after the fiftieth stupid livestock-stare.

I think cuddly_tomato has a vast collection of d'awww-inducing creatures taking up most of the memory on his internet-accessible machines.

Seen a few of them myself, fantastic little creatures. Sadly some of them seem to exhibit a nasty streak. Seen quite a few males behaving, shall we say badly? Experienced Duck watchers should have a clue of what I mean.

I have a large amount of ducks in my front yard that never leave since I feed them but I've never scene any of their eggs hatch, but baby ducks are possibly the cutest thing in all creation (they're like if puppies and kittens could have babies)but once a squirrel ran right up to me and almost jumped into my hands , too bad my sister came running up screaming (since she is physically incapable of moment without screaming at the top of her lungs) and scared it off.

My parents are vets and 7 weeks ago we got a pregnant stray husky. She has the four cutest, BIGGEST puppies you have ever seen. No, these things are the size of a Maltese poodle at 7 weeks. They are so cute I cannot resist stroking them, even as they crawl over me with their sharp puppy claws.

Ahem

I have yet to see any baby ducks, however, we have multiple new born kittens and there are loads of lambs in the barn down the road. I go in and pet them every now and then. I might get some pictures.

A harrowing tale of survival, one which we should all heed its warning.
