Medic is the best class for getting points, by far.

Also, don't snipe if there's already three or more snipers on your team. And automatically choose Engineer when starting out on vehicle-oriented maps. And don't camp at the UAV. And go for the objectives. You'll get more points that way.

Hit the back button to spot enemies. Do that a lot. If you move your crosshair around slowly and keep pressing it, you'll probably spot a few enemies you didn't know were there. And do this every chance you get, and check nearly everywhere.

Use cover as much as possible, especially in the foliage. The camo in BC 2 is surprisingly effective, and I find it especially helpful in snowy areas.

Shotguns are AMAZING in this game, as well as balanced. Also since your from CoD im going to be rude and declare you quick scope. Well dont it doesnt work, people try it a lot and they just get gunned down. Also dont not fly a chopper unless you know how to. I hate bad piolets, and its not as hard as it seems. If you snipe while attacking, dont camp the whole time near your base. Actually move up so people can spawn on you closer, to the base. On deffence always use a tracer dart unless your a sniper, so you can trace any tank, chopper, jeep. Aim for the head much better. If your trying to shoot someone acros the map, and not a sniper, shoot in controoled bursts. But if you are a sniper, lead your shots. When the bomb is armed ALWAYS, try to dissarm it, since most people tend to run away from the crate when that happens. Finally if your attacking, and a crate is in a building the can be completely destroyed ( it will take some time untill you find which kind can ) blow the support for the building and it will crush the crate. Thats mostly all you need to know.
Oh god no I never snipe in Cod, as soon as I touch a rifle in cod a large target seems to appear over my head lol
I have no scoped though in BC, just a few minutes ago acctually, this medic appears about two feet in front o me and I just pulled the trigger. Amazingly he died.

No, you're right, the Xbox's "Back" button is essentially the exact same as the PS3's select. In fact I just made the mistake of calling it 'Select' in my last post.. woops.

Go to GameFAQs, for one thing...

Also, learn to spot enemies, even if your team mates kill them you get points. Use shotguns with slugs and magnum ammmo only, otherwise they're worthless. The M1 is okay, the M14 sucks, don't even bother using it.

Pay attention to the mini-map for enemies team mates spotted.
Finally someone mentions marking. By FAR the best thing you can possibly do to up your game is mark every single enemy you see. Marking wins games.

If you are playing core then spot people a lot (back button).
If your playing hardcore use the bushes to hide in.(doesn't work on core because of the first tip).
I know a lot more but these should hep enough.

It's on xbox I play, I usually switch between all the classes, but right now I'm trying to earn my X4 scope for my recon class.
OK, I don't know all the buttons for the XBOX controller but the equivalent of the PS3's 'select' button is your friend. Its whatever button you hold to bring up the scoreboard. When you see an enemy, aim at them and tap that button a few times, and an orange triangle will appear over that enemy. That marks them on the map and for your team to see, and you'll get XP if someone kills them.

Pressing that button on a friendly player will make you call for a Medic, or Ammo, or Repairing from an Engineer. You can also get the attention of vehicles if you want a ride.

You can use it on the M-COM stations in Rush, calling your squad to attack or defend the position.

I might be very wrong with this, since I don't know the layout of a 360 controller too well.
Someone correct me if I'm making a mistake.

dude, i dont even own the game! but i can tell you from watching friends play that the best thing to do is follow an experienced seeming unknown person and stealing all of there kill until they quit. then repeat.or if you have a soul, try sniping!!!

If you've unlocked the 12 gauge ammo perk, use that with the Saiga for long-range stuff. It's a 2-shot kill from any range.

Try to stay away from using the UMP once you unlock it. It eats through ammo fast, and its ironsights are terrible. I would suggest using the Uzi. It has a good rate of fire, accuracy, and damage, and the ironsights are ten times better.

If you're playing squad deathmatch, you might want to consider using the GOL (or M24, but the GOL has a better Rate of Fire) with the dot sight. It seems to land headshots even when the bullet wasn't going to the head.

Sniper rifles are much more accurate without scoping in, so don't be afraid to no-scope in tight situations.

I would suggest only using shotguns as the assault class, as they have very little ammo, and the ammo kit ability is very handy. In a pinch, C4 can be used similarly to a grenade.

If it's at all possible, once you get into the UAV, have someone put C4 on it, drive it to an M-COM, and detonate it. It will do plenty of damage to the station, and it won't do anything to your vehicle.

I'll post more tips, but I'll try to keep this post length down.

Don't camp
Don't snipe in back
Don't use the AN-94, for the love of god, do NOT use that gun.
SPOT! SPOT! SPOT! SPOT! SPOT! SPOT!
Don't spam the Carl Gustav
Don't spam the 40MM grenade launcher and get the 40mm shotgun instead for epic lulz
Don't depend on the knife too much (You'll rage, lots)
Don't depend on the C4 too much (You'll rage, lots)
SPOT! SPOT! SPOT! SPOT! SPOT! SPOT!
Don't revive people when there is a blob of enemies around hunting for anything that moves
Don't revive people while in a FUBAR situation
Drop medkits and ammo kits when people ask for it at all times. If no-one is asking for them, you still drop them.
SPOT! SPOT! SPOT! SPOT! SPOT! SPOT!
Try out every gun you unlock, I can assure you that this is the way to find the best gun fitting your playstyle.
Use those sensor balls!
Blow holes in buildings as an escape route
Use building's roofs to shoot from.
SPOT! SPOT! SPOT! SPOT! SPOT! SPOT!
When encountering a wall without windows on the top floor of buildings, you make one yourself... with the 40mm GL or C4 or whatever explosive weapon.
Don't worry about your stats or rank, only idiots care about those.
Be pro-pro.
SPOT! SPOT! SPOT! SPOT! SPOT! SPOT!
Try and anger people when killing them (Call them out in chat after kill, teabag after kill, defib them to death, etc.) and then kill them when they come back to seek revenge.
Stay cool and stay low.
Did I mention spotting?
Don't play hardcore. If you want realism play Arma II or join the military.
Try out the different perks on different weapons, you'll be surprised how good it might work out sometimes.
???
PROFIT!

EDIT: I cannot stress this enough: DO NOT LISTEN TO PEOPLE WHO TELL YOU WHAT GUN TO USE, FIND YOUR OWN DAMN GUN BY USING EVERY. SINGLE. ONE OF THEM.

Every gun is unique and fits another playingstyle.

Still, don't use the AN-94 though. It's plain silly.

QFT, No-scoping is highly effective.
Also, just noticed a little fun-fact; the M4 Carbine is clearly visible in the hands of the soldier on the front cover, yet the M4 is not in the game?
The M416 is, but they're different guns entirely.

as a vetern battlefield player i reccomend laying ''assault recon''

1- make sure you can quickly coordinate tactics between your frinds.

2- take advantage of the guille suit, things are too chaotic for enemies to go poking in the bushes.

3- if you find a good observation point near the battle, support your frind with sniper fire AND SPOT.

4-if you see and advantage to capture an objective TAKE IT.

5- only open fire if neccasary, and you a re 100% sure you will get that kill.

6- try to stay out of the enemy fire lines.

No mate your pretty spot on with that.
More stuff, for later unlocks:

MEDIC: If you plan on using the XM8 LMG, use the MG36 afterwards. It's exactly the same, but it has a built in scope. Using the X4 Scope adds zoom to it, but its good as it is. I'd use Medkit Improved Heal and Magnum Ammo with it.

ASSAULT: Use the XM8 Prototype, its the best weapon until the AN-94, which you'll either love or hate. The M416 is good with Magnum Ammo (which you should use on all kits IMO), as is the M16A2.

ENGINEER: The 9A-91 Avtomat is pretty good, but use whichever of the first 3 you feel suits you. The AKS-74u Krinkov is probably the best SMG, and the PP2000 is better than the Uzi. Launchers: RPG is better at killing vehicles but is less damaging to infantry. The M2 Carl Gustav is vice-versa, but the rocket flies significantly faster and is competent against tanks and probably a better choice than the RPG for hitting helicopters. The AT4 flies slow and handles poorly, you're better off with the M2CG, maybe using a tracer dart.

RECON: The M24 is very good. I wouldn't recommend any of the semi-automatics, but if you're good with one by all means use it. The VSS Special makes a good close quarters weapon if used with a red dot sight, and the M95 can damage helicopters, destroy UAVs in one shot and one shot kill if under 20 or so meters.

A few things you can hear clearly:

1. Footsteps downstairs in a two story building
2. If you kill someone next to his teammate, the teammate will start babbling nonsense and gives away the position. (Doesn't that suck for the teammate? Forced to mourn about their dieing friend.)
3. Orgasm noise when someone misses a knife behind you.
4. Sniper shots that are near you.
5. Water splashing is pretty obvious.
6. Hear the difference between your motion sensors and theirs.
7. Have the ability to know that a motion sensor is around you, and get out of the area before you're dead.
8. Other crap they scream out when an enemy is around you.

Don't rush, but don't stand around either; maintain a constant pace that works for you and keeps you in the action.

If you're going to snipe, make sure you're doing something for your team rather than sitting in a bush shooting people from a mile away.

Utilize all the kits so you have plenty of options to choose from when the need for something arises.

Don't underestimate a weapon because of it's low power, seriously, the only weapon that I can think of that's complete and utter shit and that you shouldn't use, is the M93 Raffica.

Which is a shame, because that gun had the potential to be a ridiculously badass weapon.

When playing on hardcore, refrain from sniping, and if you do, please use a good sniper.

I can't tell you how many times I get killed from a mile away from some guy using the M95 with 12x scope and magnum ammo. Neither of which are necessary in hardcore mode. A better sniper would be the GOL for it's long range and accuracy, and then, instead of using magnum ammo, use something better suited for that spec slot and use an ACOG on the damn sniper instead of being a bushwookie from a mile a way.

/mini-rant

And you should always be helping teammates. For example:

Assault should be throwing ammo boxes and leading the attacks.

Recon should be SLIGHTLY behind the action, spotting people and picking off the occasional straggler.

Medic should be doing what he does best, healing and reviving. Those paddles are more than just a hilarious weapon.

Engineer should be repairing shit and helping the other guys with whatever. Their weapons are more close combat, so expect to be close to the action as an Engineer.

So that's all I have for now, good luck.

When practicing with the chopper make sure you dont use an attack one because then your team loses a valuable resource always use the transport and just try to stay up for as long as possible so that way if they all realize that you suck they can just jump out and go on with life
