Cad for sure I definitely won't defend it.
what is wrong with cad? i mean really?
i know that it uses a lot of text and the 1 miscarriage thing but if you dont mind reading it its fine and the miscarriage was off the rails but there's been things like that in A LOT of comics.
Actually The misscarriage wasn't that great of a story but that's not why I listed it.

The reason is because it's just not funny. Occasionally there's a really funny joke, and I still read it because of the occasional funny joke, but really most of the time it isn't.

Which I've read?
Jay Naylor comics are the second most retarded attempt at political satire I've ever seen. It's a shame, because he seems to have some artistic talent.
This a thousand times. I read almost the entirety of Better Days and never got what the fuss was about. Naylor, why is everyone important a cat? Why are the hyenas black people? Would it KILL you to have a little diversity? And no, the two dogs who got married off (to ONE ANOTHER) and moved away do not count.

Though I suppose it might be the Michael Bay-esque worship of the American military that turned me off to the whole thing. Also, the fact that literally almost everyone is an oversexed and bland character didn't do you any favours. I know that you had to tie in a LOT of porn to the characters, but it wasn't worth it man.

Oh god, that rant just stirred up the memories of my furry webcomic browsing days, and with them one comic that occupies a special pedestal in my heart.

Concession.

For those of you who are blissfully unaware of this, read the article on the Bad Webcomics Wiki (http://badwebcomics.wikidot.com/concession) if you want to be informed/amused. Do not try to read the comic. Seriously.

I mean, I could go into detail, but the people who wrote the article clearly had more patience and experience with this monster than I.

So, yeah. That's that.

I don't care how autistic anyone is, there's no excuse for...that.

Second is one I'm shocked no one has mentioned yet: Least I Could Do, by the same author/artist responsible for Looking For Group. That's mainly because protagonist Raine is an overgrown, immature, criminally irresponsible manchild who regularly endangers everyone around him while having lots of sex (apparently due to possessing an oversized set of genitals).
I was amazed it took 3 pages and almost 100 posts to bring this up as well. Sohmer thinks hes so good because he makes 6 comics a week or something, (admittedley a feat) but the problem is they're all garbage. Maybe cut back and have some real funny jokes? LOL RAYNE DID SOMETHING ABOUT TRANSFORMERS.
And hes so bloody arrogant. That strip where Rayne's just running around bagging webcomics, "except mines really good!" was the last one I read. I love seeing posts on forums where people say that when they look back at their reading LICD they cant remember actually laughing...

I feel sorry for Lars, because I like his art.

I don't tend to hate any webcomics, but I dislike the way that VGCats doesn't update regularly any more.

I don't want to keep you here all day though, so I'll just give you the really popular ones that are terrible, and deserve to be taken down a few pegs.
XKCD, Questionable Content, Sluggy Freelance.
whats wrong with QC?
Lol, I double-took that you'd call him up for QC but not Sluggy or XKCD. Are you sure you got that right? :p

Critical Miss... Ha, no I jest. CM is awesome by every standards. I think XKCD is great, besides literally the first 8 or so strips, it's always fresh, never really rehashing any jokes despite it's art style remaining the same since it was the artist was 8 (stick figures what do you expect). I use to be a really big fan of cyanide and happiness, but I disagree with people who says it goes too far, it's a web comic, no subject matter is out of bounds, it does however get stale although it still surprises me once in a while.

Besides Critical Miss, SMBC is definitely a comic that has remained consistently good from the start and to this day still makes me laugh.

Then there is almost 85% of other comics, who have a few good strips and then fail. Forever.

Dresden Codak. Most over written piece of shit I have ever read. At least the art is decent, though the whole thing feels like the author's jack-off material (hot, tough-but-vulnerable, nerd babe bangs on about transhumanism). There is no room for me and his fetishes.

Has anyone ever seen the site These Web Comics Are So Bad [http://webcomicssobad.blogspot.com/2008/03/dinosaur-comics.html]? I love it.

"Sonty Mick" criticises Dinosaur Comics because the author is too tall, and because the author can't draw sad faces on his dinosaurs. He hated Dresden Codak because it reminded him of certain annoying pop songs from his childhood. Best criticisms ever. He also spends every other paragraph trying to splice himself into the comic, or changing the subject to something about himself, or holding art competitions in which he is the subject. Metaphors get mixed, and don't go anywhere and bizarre images are created by Sonty Mick that completely throw the reader. It is the most perfect parody of self-important internet critics. At least until Plinkett reviews came along.

Great stuff.

CAD. It's terrible, yet I still feel somewhat compelled to keep reading. XKCD isn't bad in my eyes, but it's been a little worse lately.

One comic that I absolutely love though, is Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal. That strip is brilliant.

"Pebble Version". The comic tries desperately to be funny, but all its jokes fall flat, even the generic ones that every pokemon comic does.

I didn't look into the other two, but this post actually got me into XKCD. I don't see what the problem is, aside from some of the jokes being a bit too intellectual. But still, it's a comic aimed at people with a certain degree of knowledge, and just because you don't get it doesn't make it bad.

All webcomics that base their humour on games and/or movies.

Which is about 99% of them.

Aw, I was hoping to come into this thread and find out about all kinds of terrible, terrible webcomics that go mostly unnoticed, that I could read and laugh my ass off and how bad they are.

But it's just everyone insulting the popular ones, how boring. I should've predicted it though, the site is full of teenagers.

PS: Except that 'sweet bro and hella jeff', that's exactly what I wanted. It's hilariously shit, and I thank you.

I only watch a few and most of them are on escapist. I never was a big fan of comics to start but anyway.

Dunno why people would hate on Penny Arcade it's one of the few that is funny by beeing smart,Critical Miss does it too from time to time and I love it too. Maybe I like them both that much because somehow similar even if different.
