Queens of the Stone Age,
You're kidding, right? QotSA WERE huge. Not as big as the 80's giants, but still HUGE.

Great band. It's a shame they haven't gotten more Stateside exposure.
Don't worry, we can make them famous ourselves mate :D

No... ...highly influential to anybody that heard them, but overlooked by everyone else.

Reuben - kind of undefinable British heavy rock, sort of punk sort of metal, very unique sound.

3 albums before they split a couple of years back:

Racecar is Racecar Backwards
Very Fast, Very Dangerous
In Nothing We Trust

They all held down part time jobs as well the band, still managing to play big festivals and a European tour before the split. RIP.

The Darkness. They were gonna bring glam metal back.
Surely the best reason for them disappearing....
Come on. Glam metal is like the G.I. Joe movie: Half awesome, half glorious, narm-tastic, so-bad-it's-good excess.

Doctor Nut. They're a really cool mixture of progressive rock, metal and punk. So awesome.

Archive, they have been around for so long, but I have never met anyone else who likes or even knows their music. Guess it's just strange taste on my part.
