How many albums do Streetlight Manifesto actually have? I've got one of them (can't remember name, good though) that I picked up when they were supporting Reel Big Fish a year or two ago, not really looked at whether there are many more.RabbiiFrystofsk said:[spunge] and Streetlight Manifesto. I don't think there's a single song of theres that i wouldn't listen to.
I almost don't want another album released. If they had to stop, Black Clouds Silver Lining =s is a very strong finish.CCountZero said:Dream Theater.
I grieve for the loss of Portnoy, though.
He was too big a part of the band for them to truely recover fully with another drummer.
the jealousy is seething inside. they put on a good show and do not dissapoint with their set list, they even did an encore of all the songs with dance in the name and overplayed by a half hour.Cgull said:Seeing them for the second time next month. I have to also say Radiohead... Pablo Honey wasn't a bad album, it was just pretty meh. But every single album after that- even Amnesiac (which I think is under-rated) was perfect.the Dept of Science said:Even Pablo Honey?e.wlmo4 said:Radiohead
Nothing but pure gold
If you discount their last album, which was a bastardised version of the band, then the Velvet Underground.
Their first record, the Velvet Underground and Nico, is easily one of the most influential albums in history, inventing pretty much all the tropes that went on to become not only punk and alternative rock (but also massively influential on heavy metal, indie pop and singer-songwriters)
Their second album distilled out all the poppier aspects of the first album, and resulted in something sludgier and crazier than anything that I have ever listened to (and this is in the 60s)
Their third album went in completely the opposite direction, dropping most of the noisier aspects of the first album and putting out something that feels very personal and intimate
Their forth album they decided to do a classic pop album, and they fuckin' nailed that as well
They also have some great live albums and a rarities comp
Others:
The Flaming Lips
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
Tom Waits
Frank Zappa
The National
Los Campesinos!
LCD Soundsystem
the Arcade Fire
I love them!! But my two would be My Chemical Romance (I just like them), but my main one is Muse. Every song on every album is unique and good to listen to in it's own way - I could just happily put the album on and just leave it to play.Whippoorwill said:30 Seconds to Mars.
