Cliff Burton(Metallica),
Hard to say, really. I just don't think it sounds good.Grimsinger said:Just outta curiosity, what don't you like about it?necromanzer52 said:I'm a bassist myself. I really dislike all that slap & pop stuff though. The ox never needed any of that bullshit.
I really wish people would stop using flea as a case for bass being a good instrument he's not even that good really. If you want one the best bassists check out James Jamerson he is essentially Mr Motown http://youtu.be/5pVM00eoohI6SteW6 said:Dude just listen to some RHCP, listen to Flea's awesome bassing and you will know that bass can be a hell of an instrument. People don't see it as an important instrument but it's not about what you play it's how you play and the energy you produce while playing that will get others into it.
What?EeveeElectro said:His ex nearly broke up with him when he took up bass because "no one dates the bassist."
I like the sound of the bass guitar more than a regular guitar.Grimsinger said:I was curious how important people though bass, as in bass guitar, was in music. I play bass, and I've had a lot of stabs taken at me from friends and roommates telling me that 'bassists don't matter', or 'no one listens to the song for bass'. While I know this isn't true, I was curious as to what everyone else else though. I'd like ya'll to be honest as to weather or not you care/think its important/listen for it/ect.
Ahhhh, a fellow Rush fan.Ninjamedic said:I just thought of rush as good example, In my school, they had an obesssive fixation on the choir and piano so most other instruments and genres were neglected, a shame since it resulted in a lack of interst of music beyond singing hymns/pop song/trad music.Vivi22 said:snip
Rush is a great example since they are fantastic musicians yet still widely known.
She's a complete bellend to be honest. Doesn't know the difference between her arse and her elbow.Jonluw said:What?EeveeElectro said:His ex nearly broke up with him when he took up bass because "no one dates the bassist."
I've always heard that bassists get the most girls.
Maybe except for singers.
