Y'know, I polled a bunch of people and they all came up with the idea that Red is a dude, but if there's this much debate about it, I'm gonna change the pronouns to be more gender neutral, just to be safe.ramboondiea said:

Both parties are irrelevant in this case, because the game looks fun (Assuming the combat style is similar to Bastion, which it seems to be), is beautiful, and is going to have a kick-ass soundtrack (if the song played is any indication).Windknight said:

And to clarify, I don't mean to stay that I believe it will only be fun if the gameplay is similar to bastion, I mean to say that because it seems similar based on the trailer, then one can assume that It will be as refined and smooth as Bastion, and as such will be enjoyable.
I'm so fucking excited right now. I watched the trailer like 10 times already, cannot wait till 2014, I want it now!
Bastion is one of my favorite games of all time, I trust Supergiant won't disappoint with their new game. The fact that Darren Korb is doing the music... makes me jizz in my pants.

I guess they also took inspiration from JPRG tradition of having androgynous lead characters. Though I don't think it is a male. Let me re-watch that... yeah I'm right. B-cups at 0:27 in the trailer.
You can safely conclude it's a she or maybe MtF but anyway it has boobs so my money is on double X chromosomes. My money is also up for grabs if Supergiant is interested.

This looks unreservedly awesome. I had zero interest in Bastion mainly for 2 reasons. I hated the narrator's voice, and it was on xbox. Otherwise it looked interesting.
This however looks fantastic, and I especially like the music in the trailer and Red's design. In the article, before I clicked the video I was wondering why they referred to her as male when she looked clearly female.
Of course she could be a trans-sister, but probably not.

I was just saying in a thread about a week ago that I will buy up whatever Supergiant makes next, and this is looking pretty great. Extremely similar to Bastion, but that's fine. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, and Bastion was anything but broken.
