No male protagonist, no sale!
But seriously this looks pretty good already, and my god that music!

Y'know, I polled a bunch of people and they all came up with the idea that Red is a dude, but if there's this much debate about it, I'm gonna change the pronouns to be more gender neutral, just to be safe.ramboondiea said:pretty sure "red" is a women, what with the boobs and fishnets?
says on the website that Red is a she, i think its in the little plot synopsis part.Earnest Cavalli said:Y'know, I polled a bunch of people and they all came up with the idea that Red is a dude, but if there's this much debate about it, I'm gonna change the pronouns to be more gender neutral, just to be safe.ramboondiea said:pretty sure "red" is a women, what with the boobs and fishnets?
Both parties are irrelevant in this case, because the game looks fun (Assuming the combat style is similar to Bastion, which it seems to be), is beautiful, and is going to have a kick-ass soundtrack (if the song played is any indication).Windknight said:its funny how the feminist bashers always turn up before the feminists isn't it. And they always accuse others of making trouble where there is none... oh the irony is so delicious.ToastiestZombie said:INB4 someone calls this game sexist because Red shows cleavage and doesn't have much characterization.
OT: Yes! I don't care that it looks a lot like Bastion, I didn't want Supergiant Games to get into fucking kart racing or something, it looks fantastic. Gameplay similar to Bastion in an original Cyberpunk world and a seemingly new art-style? Sign me up!
Yep, definitely sounds like Ashley Barrett. I'm not surprised they would keep the same composer and singer, considering how much of a hit Bastion's soundtrack was.Goofguy said:Is it me or is the singer in the trailer's music the same as Zia from Bastion? Would make sense, but just curious if anyone else noticed that.
Only 4/4 of your attention! And you claim to be a fan! HERESY!DVS BSTrD said:3/4th the viewpoint, 4/4 of my attentionYou DO know that's a woman right?Earnest Cavalli said:Snip
But in the end, it might be a dun-dun-DUNNNNNNN....computer program! *gasp* Or cyborg!Earnest Cavalli said:Y'know, I polled a bunch of people and they all came up with the idea that Red is a dude, but if there's this much debate about it, I'm gonna change the pronouns to be more gender neutral, just to be safe.ramboondiea said:pretty sure "red" is a women, what with the boobs and fishnets?
Bastion is on XBox, windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and possibly Android. What I'm saying it is PLAY IT!KoudelkaMorgan said:This looks unreservedly awesome. I had zero interest in Bastion mainly for 2 reasons. I hated the narrator's voice, and it was on xbox. Otherwise it looked interesting.
This however looks fantastic, and I especially like the music in the trailer and Red's design. In the article, before I clicked the video I was wondering why they referred to her as male when she looked clearly female.
Of course she could be a trans-sister, but probably not.
