I think the Red Hood would be cool, I know that it's Robin, but I think he could be a good character to relate to Bruce's past. Something which Nolan seems to like. And here we go...

Red Hood = Originally Joker.

- In Nolan's universe, The Joker has no origin. The Red Hood was a bad idea by DC to give an origin story to The Joker.

- In order for Jason Todd to become Red Hood II, he must be introduced, become Robin, and then be "killed" by The Joker. Chris Nolan has already said The Joker is not coming back.

CCH Pounder is the only woman who can do Amanda Waller justice. While it would be cool to see Nolan bring us villains like Clayface or Mr.Freeze to the big screen, Nolan has already stated that any villain of the batman universe that even remotely is tied to something supernatural he would not be doing.

I don't see why any of that is necessary. As you said the film is already different from the comics. What does it matter if there was never an original red hood? As I suggested above you might be able to do Robin/Red Hood with some huge tweaking of the characters. This might piss of some comic fans, but hey it's already a different continuity and if anyone can do it right it's Nolan.

There needs to be a female villain. Catwoman, Poison Ivy or Harley Quinn. I'd Harley Quinn, however awesome, is the least likely of those three as she isn't an icon like the other two (particularly Catwoman) are. Catwoman has also been done to death and butchered multiple times, so the only one left is Poison Ivy: not to famous, not to unknown. Problem with her is her weird "plant lady" thing; so far it's been pretty determined on keeping things serious (something that the Joker questioned often), so how this could be included is a bit of a thought provoker...

I still think the Riddler is the most likely option, i just really want a live action Deathstroke.

One idea I read was have Poison Ivy as someone who uses plant toxins in eco-terrorist attacks.

The only problem i'd have with them introducing Hush is that the whole point of his story was trying to figure out who he was, but that wouldn't really work in the film. My personal choice though is the Riddler.

Of course, sticking with Nolan's theme all of these villains would have to be quite psychological and dark. According to IGN, Catwoman is likely to make an appearance, though it is very unlikely she would be the primary antagonist, methinks.
Although Riddler is still my favourite, I think characters such as Hush or Black Mask would work well. Croc is a bit too 'unrealistic', as is Clayface, unless they drastically modified them. Likewise with Poison Ivy - her whole background story is quite 'unrealistic' and even though

this is a good idea, but it is similar to Ra's Al Ghul's plan in the first film.
Similarly, old Freezey would be quite hard to pull off. If I remember correctly, I recall reading somewhere that Nolan stated he wouldn't ever use him in a film.

I'm not an expert but I don't understand why Warner Brothers would allow a film to be made about a relatively minor leaguer in the Rouge's Gallery. Big hitters like Scarecrow, Ra's al Ghul and The Joker will pull in a greater audiences than The Red Hood. Even if Robin is inside. The more recognisable villains such as Bane, The Riddler or...errr...Prometheus even, would bring in bigger crowds without having to explain relatively minor part of the Batman history.

Here, I must agree. Either Hush or Black Mask would be great from what I know of them from bios and minor research. If I recall correctly, Hush in particular since he has a very strong Batman-gone-wrong side that would match up with Nolan's themes so far.
I'd personally love to see Harlie Quinne, but I'm not sure she could carry a whole movie as the nemesis.

Disclaimer: I may or may not be getting Black Mask and Hush mixed up, but my point stands, although possibly with a name reversal.
