Well, I gave him the benefit of the doubt, but that lex Luther is abysmal "the Rex capes are coming"
Well it IS a Zack Schniser movie, all his works are visual-centred works.SomeLameStuff said:Seriously, at this point the movie looks to be all about the visuals. And hey, if the visuals turn out to be enough for me to forgive/forget the shoehorned plot, then good for them. But at the moment, not sold.
I very much dislike DC but the movie looks good. Most of the Marvel movies are basically just OK with just a few of them being great/good. Zack Synder has done nothing but make good movies in my book so I'm on board for anything he's directing. The only minor concern I have is the movie could be too busy but it also could just be due to how the trailer is cut as well, it is a bunch of snippets of the movie as that is what trailers are. I don't analyze trailers and just let the movie speak for itself when I see it. I'm even totally looking forward to Lex Lurther as well because I HATED Gene Hackman's Luther in the original Superman movies and Superman II is really the only one I like because not as much Lurther and no turn back time by spinning the world backwards bullshit.endtherapture said:Forgot that The Escapist is MCU fan boy central. Everywhere else is going crazy for this and I think it looks awesome - like a DC comic book brought to life. That shot of Batman dodging the laser with a grappling hook was perfection.
I think it looks pretty good. Visually it's far more interesting than anything Marvel has shown so far in nearly 10 years of cinema. However it could get a bit messy and busy. Glad to see they're not glossing over the destruction of Metropolis in the last film. Hoping the Batman origin story is only short flashbacks, and the dystopian future with the Superman army isn't too prominent in the film either. I expect it to be Batman and Superman fight after Lex engineers a battle between them and Wonder Woman stops them to fight a greater enemy.
It's gonna be stylish and cool.
Uhh... That's where I figured they would take it after Man of Steel because the whole point of this Superman series is supposed to be about how WE would actually react to Superman existing. And, secondly, Synder didn't write the script.WonkyWarmaiden said:Zack Snyder saw the backlash against the city destruction in Man of Steel and is trying to make it seem like this was the plan all along. Bullcrap, I say.
So the person that directed the best comic book movie ever shouldn't be allowed near a director's chair?TristanBelmont said:And that Snyder is still allowed near a director's chair
Because he made Sucker Punch, obviously! An underrated and probably misunderstood gem[footnote]I'm not joking about Sucker Punch, actually...[/footnote].Imre Csete said:And how the hell is Zack Snyder still allowed to make movies?

i'm too lazy to go look it up, but aren't they also having cyborg and aquaman be in this movie as well?canadamus_prime said:I'm not sure I like the direction their going with this. I still think they're trying to cram too much into one movie, what with shoehorning Wonder Woman in there.
I think it's tackling some interesting themes, but I'm not a big fan of the hyper grim-dark aesthetic. Also it seems like they're trying to cram too much in.gmaverick019 said:i'm too lazy to go look it up, but aren't they also having cyborg and aquaman be in this movie as well?canadamus_prime said:I'm not sure I like the direction their going with this. it just seems like way too much origin shit to put into a superman vs batman movie, and judging by the trailer the movie doesn't know what it wants to be.
honestly I'm usually really low maintenance for movies..but that trailer looked like a train wreck to me.
