Whatever, just wash your hands.
The last Cod game was 200+GB.

Forza Horizon 5 is 101GB, Forza 7 was 96, and Forza 6 was only 45GB.

Also keep in mind that BF doesn't have a campaign mode this year, and yet both BF 5 and BF 1 could be fit into the SAME file size 45, 53GB each. So how come they can compress the audio for the last two games which had MP and campaigns, yet this year they can't because.......

EDIT: Cod managed to get their file size below 50GB with Vanguard this year. So BF is clearly doing something wrong.
See, the problem here is that we are both talking out of our asses, my ass just is more informed then yours, not much more but more. These are also all games that run on different engines and have different needs with both audio and graphics. We have no idea what sort of compression or lack there of, each one needs. I remember when Ghost (I think) clocked in at a really high for the time amount of storage needed and Total Biscuits (I think) spent way too long bitching about a single kinda crappy texture in one of the multiplayer maps and how there was no excuse for it to look like that when the game was that big. This is just a slightly less dumb version of that.

It's boring, there needs to be more vehicle, weapon, and operator diversity.

Its hard for me to get into Call of Duty and Battlefields again because I know its only gonna last a year until the next game in the series completely replaces the last one and everyone moves on.

This is the one thing Blizzard got right and that's long term support of one game.

They didn't make a Hero of the Storm 2 the next year and so on.

Overwatch 1 at least had a good run. I mean between 2016 to presumably late 2022 will 2 release, at least the people that bought Overwatch 1 full price at launch had their monies worth.

I have no idea what's going on with that on, and I don't care. My question still stands.

That's always been Blizzards problem: either the quality drops later in life, people lose interests, or they don't even know what they want to do for a sequel. They keep hoping these games will make them infinite money. The well dries up at some point. The fact people and leaders keep leaving proves my fucking point. If Blizzard bothered to have more IPs that are not "live-services", constantly requiring an online connection, or bothered to make single players games again (outside of the Diablo franchise), that would make their line up look better. That still would not stop those at top and those that benefited from hurting others from being the assholes they are. They can't manage or barely manage anything with the colossal fuck ups that has been going at corporate and its many offices.

I'm just saying that when it comes to their multiplayer games I prefer their long term approach model. That I'm not getting a Starcraft 3, 4, and 5 every year and so on

Good on you, I don't. I'm not asking for an annual sequel either, but it really doesn't matter at this point giving everything that's going on.

I saw a picture on Twitter, showing the poor review scores for the latest CoD, Battlefield, and GTA Remaster, with the caption "What happened to our favourite franchieses?"

Well, they got franchised.

This isn't about Blizzard's issues right now, its about that one aspect of "supporting one game long term"

I wish Halo 2 had long term support, its the best Halo multiplayer of all time in my opinion.

Same difference for me at this point. It's part of the cause and effect. That same long-term support has caused them to stagnate hard. I don't care how big of a fan you are, this is more or less true.

Nothing lasts forever. Get used to it. Be happy it even lasted as long as it did. You already know most multiplayer modes to a lot of these shooters barely lasted a month or two; especially if we're talking about the seventh generation of consoles.

Shareholders happened. Instead of making games, the companies are now concerned solely with making all the money, right now.

How did a game like League of Legends and DOTA 2 lasted this long then?

An over-dedicated fan base, hardcore players that play only those and almost nothing else, and lots of porn/rule 34. I'm not saying the games are failures, but you can only update the same game so many times before it gets stale or boring. Look, I don't care how successful either games are, there is still stagnation within the company itself. It's not the stagnation you would see with Far Cry or , but it's still stagnation regardless.

I already know you're a huge Blizzard fan, so really anything I say is going to just fly over your head and you're going to ignore it. I'm already done here, so don't bother responding back with much else. I've made my point. It's up to you whether you will leave me or not.

But I'm not ignoring it. I am actually paying attention. Don't assume I ignore.

And my Blizzard fanboyism has nothing to do with the concept of "long term support" Blizz is just one of the folks that handles it. I already provided other examples in League of Legends and DOTA 2.

And by the look of it, Fortnite, Rainbow Six Siege, and Apex Legends is also being treated with that Long Term Support,

GTAV has been around since the playstation 3 era. Yet still gets updates and content. At least the online portion.

So long as customers support a game then it will continue. People still play Final Fantasy 11 which launched originally on PS2.

I dont think it has to do with any particular company being lazy, as much as it is them maximizing the return on investment. There is no reason to make GTA6 if people are still putting big numbers into 5.

Blizzard always was an extremely slow developer. Probably due to the all the drinking and molesting in hindsight. But when they did put something out it was always a good game....until it began to catch up to them. Now the train is way off the rails and nobody in the company knows how to fix it.

Sometimes you have your moments.

I went overboard, so my bad on that.

I already provided other examples in League of Legends and DOTA 2.
Still does not stop the fact that stagnation can occur and that neither corporations for either game have worked on something else, nor see the need to do so. Yes, numbers rise and drop, but none of the games I find interesting nor would hold my interests for long, even if I casually liked them. Though if anything, LoL is not as big as it used to be. It still make money, not what it once was.

And by the look of it, Fortnite, Rainbow Six Siege, and Apex Legends is also being treated with that Long Term Support,
Fortnite is game everyone can play and the only reason it got so bigger than it is due to kids and teens. The game was never meant for kids, but they got attracted, because of the art style. Epic can still fuck off trying to encourage kids to bully each other and their peers in to buying expensive skins and loot crates just to impress their "friends" or other kids who could not give a shit about the people they were playing with or against. I do look forward to the day when the game start losing its luster.

Rainbow Six Siege is a success, but it did not start out that way. I don't find it interesting either. The same stagnation can and will possibly occur at some point. The fact that Ubisoft are too much of a coward to make a new Rainbow Six, or afraid to make anything "political"/afraid of idiots who can't think for themselves, shows how creatively bankrupt they have become. Don't even get me started on the recent Ghost Recon games, nor the same shit that happens with AC and FC.

I will give Respawn Entertainment credit for keeping things going this long without doing something scummy, nor EA interfering. Just sucks we're not gonna get a Titanfall 3. Thanks EA for competing with yourself in a crowded market that year! You fucking morons! Things are great now, but EA does have a chance to screw it up. Regardless, I have no interests in Apex Legends, but I do praise the character designs.

With that said all of these games can change for the worst, and that leads back to square one. Though that has already happened with Fornite, so fuck Epic games.
There is no reason to make GTA6 if people are still putting big numbers into 5.
The fact they boasted so much about how money GTAV makes, yet they don't wanna improve or make a new one proves my point. They can more than afford it, they just wanna keep making all of the money in the infinite universe. Then again, the people in charge that cared about making games all left, so nothing surprises me. This is the same company that fired a developer for improving the shooting in GTAV and Online. Let that sink in for a moment. A developer was trying to make the game better, and they fire him. Not to forget the "Definitive Edition" that just happened and the backpedaling they did within a week.

Blizzard always was an extremely slow developer. Probably due to the all the drinking and molesting in hindsight. But when they did put something out it was always a good game....until it began to catch up to them. Now the train is way off the rails and nobody in the company knows how to fix it.
Thank you.
