Played for a few hours today on the xbox, here's my views.
First off, the Graphics are fucking AWESOME. For a console. Yes, they're not crysis, but this is an Xbox 360 not a high end gaming PC. The visuals were outstanding. Smoke billowing out from the back-blast of rocket launchers, the light shining between the trees. It's OUTSTANDING.
Secondly, gameplay. I was impressed. It was fun to play, easy to pick up ( Though it might have been because I've played a lot of the previous titles. ) and it made you feel good when you pulled off an awesome kill. The guns were balanced, the damage is RIGHT. A few bullets can kill you, just like Real life eh? The only problem I found with it was the recoil. It was slightly over the top for a weapon being held by a trained solider.
Interface wise, it was sleek, shiny and minimalistic. The text was readable ( I use a 22" screen. )Every bit of information I needed was shown and the menus were easy to use. The only issue was with the squad assigning. A problem I'm sure they'll fix.
Sound was amazing. I switched to war tapes in the menus and was astounded. The cracks as bullets wized past to the dinks as they hit the concrete inches from my head, it was breathtaking.
Flashlights need to be toned down slightly, they're not meant to blind someone from forty foot away. Laser-sights I understand, but a torch is ridiculous. Grenades are just perfect. More of a suppression and room clearance weapon than an actual killer. ( Though I got a few nice kills - 7 in one room made me happy. )
Operation metro was a good map to play, it has it's range of long distance, medium distance and CQB areas and also has different environments. A large open starting area, a restricted tight tunnel, a multilevel section and then a city block. It was perfect to test the game on.
These are the key points that stood out to me.
