Bay: Transformers 3 Getting Rid of "Dorky Comedy"

The 'comedy' was one of the worst things about the movies (especially the second) in my opinion, but just leaving it out won't magically turn them into good movies... I don't really believe the third one will be any good if the first two sucked so hard.

Still... Damn, Shockwave. Is it a bad thing if I kinda want to go see TF3 now, just because he's gonna be the main villain?

He was pretty lame and incompetent in the cartoon, but he was a lot cooler in the comics.

I liked the design they gave him for Energon. Still have the action figure stored away somewhere.

I have the one from the new series, where he's a tripleformer, and turns into a tank, a crane, or a bot. He's pretty cool looking.

Although we mostly saw the guy as Megatron's doorman in the show, that was because all the important stuff took place on Earth (sadly). Shockwave was put in charge of running Cybertron in Megatron's absence... that's a pretty important doorman, I'd say.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I like the character. I love most of the 'cepties, but Shockwave? As the big bad? Why not Unicron? Or Cyclonus? Or anything besides a third tier character who was barely ever featured doing anything other than saying, "Shall I press the button now, sir?"

Not like I honestly care anymore. The franchise has already been raped more times than a drunk, slutty chick at a douchey frat party, so I'm saving my $10 for something else.

Fair enough. Though I thought Cyclonus was pretty awesome in the cartoon and movie. Kind of like what Megatron wanted Starscream to be. Y'know, loyal and competent. Ironically, Starscream possessed him that one time to fight Ultra Magnus.

Also, Cyclonus had Galvatron commited. That episode was lulz.

I'm glad that they have been listening to the criticism thats been hauled at them. Michael Bay can make a good film out of the Transformers series, hopefully now that might just come true.
