im not a bird expert....whats the physical difference?

Blackbirds are smallish birds with short beaks. I do not believe they are found commonly in the United States (and I'm not going to check). Ravens and Crows look similar but Ravens have a rounded beak while Crows have a pointed beak.

The easiest way to figure this out is to see which bird is common in your area. Where I live, Ravens would be an unnatural addition but Crows are common. Crows, incidentally, are far more common than either of the other two and are incredibly intelligent.

Black birds, crows and ravens are all common in various parts of the United States, the primary physical differences are size, blackbirds range are generally small, crows are a midsized bird similar in body mass to say... mm a small chicken maybe, where ravens tend to be big imposing bastards.

Someone asked earlier an yes a group of crows is called a "Murder".

Finally you might have Huginn or Munnin keeping an eye on you, have you done anything to piss off Odin All Father recently?

Seriously it's just a bird, there's thousands of them, imagine seeing a squirrel constantly on your campus, there's slim to no chance it's the same squirrel but the odds are very high you'll see one almost all the time you walk around campus

So, you are being followed by a large, black bird. It's very quiet and doesn't seem to want anything with you. Since you haven't died yet, I can assume that it isn't a symbol for death. If it is a raven, then likely scenarios are 1- you are the spawn of Death and he's recognizing you. 2- the raven may believe you are dead and is waiting for you to stop moving so it can devour your flesh. 3- it's a fan of Edgar Allen Poe and is practicing scaring someone for Halloween. Seriously though, even if no supernatural forces are attached to the situation, it's a bird, so what if it's following you. Don't worry about it. What can it possibly do? Creepy, yes, a little, harming, no, not at all.

Tomato, potato, it's the same thing. I'm not that researched in the language to know what the english word for a gathering of crow is. But yea.. let me refrain a murder of crows is following me around. But usually there is 1 -2 at a time. They position themselves so that they can follow me the easiest. Pretty funny actually.
