Thermal paste? Use Arctic Cooling 5. It's what I use and my overclocked Athlon X2 I used to use could go up to 3.5 GHz and idle at about 28C. It was ridiculous.

...but the problem is that while there are four holes, they aren't in a square - more a rectangle. On one guide, the motherboard has several holes:
