I was left absolutely shocked by both the endings of Half life 2 and Episode 2.

First, G man-only shocked me because of how tense the whole thing was. He was talking before I realised I had completed the game, and so many revelations!

The ending of Episode 2 is the best ending to any game I have ever witnessed. Perfectly done. An amazing mix of emotion, fear and awe. And the death of the least likely character to die, at the least likely time.

I also liked Bioshock's various endings. I don't know why, I just do.

Also, the beginning sequence kingdom hearts 2 was simply awesome, and the final fight was beyond cool.

God of War- the hydra boss. That whole thing was pure awesome.

Alien vs. Predator 2- the beginning of the alien campaign. You get to eat your way out of a guy's fucking chest!

Edit 2: Or maybe the 'helicopter going black hawk down' scenes in COD4 or maybe even when you see Sovereign of the first time in Mass Effect.

Does music count for favourite in-game sequences? If so, then my choice is when the music pipes up after the materia falls from Aerith's head in FFVII. Actually I love that entire soundtrack. I used to hang aroung Cosmo Canyon for far too long just listening to it's tune.

alright I have two:
Cutscene-When Forge and the Spartan red team are amring the core at the end of Halo Wars, and they get attacked. The 3 Spartans wasteing the elites was cool, and Forge like destroying Arbiter was an epic fight.

Sequence-When Liberty Prime is destroyed in Broken Steel(Fallout 3). I found that epic, like just the things he says before he is hit, and after wards, his last words "I die, so that, democracy, may live" was just a perfect finnish I found
