Best Pokemon Game?

Blue. Technically Red and Blue, but I liked Blue's exclusives better. I like that except for Mew, between the two you actually can catch them all without anything more than 2 games (and what its needed to trade) and enough time and effort. No special events, no E-reader, no needing to tactifully trade between ALL th games in the right order.

Yeah it does suck that theres so many you gotta trade from like 6 different games or something >.<

I have to go with Heart Gold/Soul Silver. This was my favorite region with the added pokemon and mechanics progress of the newer gens, it was just fantastic. Perhaps Black/White will replace it though, not done yet but its certainly making an excellent showing.

Pokemon Yellow was my favorite. I LOVED that you could get all of the starters early in the game. It was also the most difficult game in the series, in my opinion. I think the levels were ramped up throughout to compensate for your having the extra starter pokemon.

I'm just in front of the elite 4 at the moment. I might have to evolve my scraggy to make this work, but I'd rather not

black and white as they have the most polished gameplay (I always ignore the story in every game) and I love the 5th gen pokemon just love them my favourite of all pokemon generations.

I actually love most of the new Pokémon designs although I HATED them the first time I saw them. (Some of them are terrible though, but all generations had this problem.)

Blue/Yellow purely for nostalgia. I was king of my little nerd clique of poképals at school.

Game wise, White is proving to be the most awesome and story based engaging. If I had one complaint it's that pokémon don't follow you around anymore, like in yellow/HGSS.

Agreed on the lack of Pokémon following you, that was always a nice... twist? Not sure on the wording.

I'd say Soul Silver or Ruby, had a lot of fun on both of them.
