Al Pacino as John Milton in The Devil's Advocate. This is without a doubt my favourite Satan (and Al Pacino role), Al Pacino is just...fantastic.

Interestingly enough Lucifer isn't the Devil in the DCU, that's another older being who clashed with Constantine. I think both have been referred to as Satan.

Tim Curry in Legend, a brilliant combination of makeup and charisma in an otherwise middling film (the gobbo was good, too).
Simply put, if Morgan Freeman is the voice of God like everyone says then Tim Curry is definitely the voice of Satan. I reckon he could tempt just about anyone to do anything with his voice.

The best representation of Lucifer? GO take a good look in the mirror. There is more evil in the hearts of man then in anything beyond our sight.

What is your favorite media representation of Good'ol Satan?
I gotta admit, I prefer the devil from Little Nicky, as he's the only one I know of that acts like being the devil is just a day job. During his off hours he's actually a nice guy, the kind who you'd want to hang out with. But when he's on the clock he's the Beelzebub that we all know and fear.

Also, he shoves a pineapple up the butt of Hitler, who's dressed as a french maid. The idea of that alone has made me nearly pass out from laughter.
I command you in the name of Lucifer to spread the blood of the innocent!

he really does play a good satan, and i love that movie also, so that does give him a bit of an advantage.

OT: while although it isn't satan himself, i'd like to think this is how he acts
so i guess voltaire is my favorite devil

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned

Now I know, there's some ambiguity here, regarding whether or not it was the actual devil or just a demon, but it does address itself as the devil at one point, so I usually think of it as such. And even if it's not, it's still a disturbing, fittingly hellish depiction certainly worthy of the devil.

I second this. Best portrayal of the Devil ever.

I love the way Supernatural portrays Lucifer. He seems so sincere and honest, that you almost start to feel bad for him. And THAT is how I think Lucifer would truly act; Lucifer would be a master of persuasion, he wouldn't even need lies or trickery in order to get what he wants,

See the guy in my avatar?

In all seriousness, the 'beast' in the Doctor Who episodes "Impossible Planet" and "The Satan Pit" was the best. He was actually scary and barely seen until the very end of the two-parter.
