Oh yes, Bethesda!
hey moron. Don't mind the conversation i had with that guy. or the fact that i haven't insulted anyone or made fun of any posters or called any game a "gay" or insulted any developers. or the fact that the guy you accuse me of trolling had quite an extended conversation with me. secondly bugger off and mind your own business. If this guy has a problem with me. He will let me know.
in short:
Not troll or trollish
mind your own business

I don't know how anyone can say obsidian is the best. their just making sequels to bio-wares game and now they've gotten real original and made a sequel to a Bethesda (or black isle) game. oh yeah they did make alpha protocol but that sucked.
Obsidian=Barnacle
OT-what was that other game you mentioned, something about steam?
I certainly didn't say Obsidian is the best but they are a great developer that gets a lot of misplaced flack due to their publisher's decisions. Nothing wrong with making sequels when they're good.

As for something about Steam? No idea what you're talking about.
some game
Arcanum:subtitle involving steam
And you can't denie that Obsidian's game are inferior versions of Bioware's without any new design elements. mind you their not that bad and worth playing. But i think it would be better if Obsidian did their own work.
Obsidian does what Obsidian's publishers tell them to do, same as any other.

Anyway, Yea, Arcanum is a wonderful game. Certainly check into it. Might check Good old Games. I suspect it's there for nearly nothing.

Bioware if we are talking about ones that currently exist. Put me down for Troika/Black Isle though for memories of legends, if that's allowed.

These two companies actually uphold to the title role play. As they put many decisions on the player. Not just look at the acronym RPG and see NBC. (Number based combat)

I'm torn between BioWare and Bethesda.

But due to the sheer number of bugs in every Bethesda game that never get bloody fixed I'm going to say BioWare. That and I feel that BioWare games have more replay value for me, open-ended story lines just can't hold me after I've finished the main quest.

Wow not including my post Bioware has been said 105 times. I guess they are at least a major contestant for the title of Best Rpg developer.

Square Enix, to be honest.
Enix can burn in hell
Yes, the people who made Dragon Warrior can burn in hell. You know the game that inspired Final Fantasy.
Doesnt change the fact they ruined the FF series by making it more about being pretty and less about deep involved stories and well made game systems. Besides before Enix merged with Square I had never heard of them and I stay on top of the game publishers I have a fondness for.

Incedently you will probably notice that both of my personal favourites for the rpg industary are of the western flavour because they typically work in real time combat and operate in an open world where walking 4 paces wont result in getting pinned in a fight you cant win cause the last 18 between the 1st base and the 2nd base drained all your hp.

Im currently reinstalling WoW after a 7 month break to try out other games and so on so thats another western RPG publisher and Yes I have played FF11 the only online version of the game ever made before 13 and frankly Im still taking pills to try and repress the memories.

I have a feeling this topic's been done before. And a couple of times before that.
But I'm rolling with BioWare.
