Well, Kingdom Hearts, FFX and TWEWY are some of my favorite games, But Squares made some crap, too, so I don't if I can say I consider them the best

Who made Golden sun? Them.
Camelot, a branch of Nintendo, atleast IIRC, Nintendo owns them now.

But I have to go Square-Enix and Atlus. ESPECIALY ATlus. their games hurt so good.

I'll have to side with Bioware. As much as I enjoyed Fallout 3 from Bethesda, I never got into Oblivion, and as far as Fallout's story is concerned, they're merely building on the pre-existing universe, not creating one unique to them, as Bioware has done.

I have experience with Square, Bioware, Bethesda, Blizzard (Diablo only) and Atlus. I like Square, but the other companies aren't bad. Square just produces games that are more what I'm looking for. For me, I just prefer JRPG style.

Bioware and Bethesda. Mass Effect 2, and Jade Empire are great RPGs, and Fallout 3 & Oblivion are absolutely addicting.

The Late Great SquareSoft, Gone but never forgotten. Do love that you only included Western Developers, whose games are only recently a big hit. A good few Japanese giants have been going alot longer and stronger.

Bioware (Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, KOTOR, Mass Effect, Dragon Age - practically an unbeatable line-up), Black Isle (Fallout 1 & 2, Planescape: Torment, Icewind Dale), and Bethesda (Elder Scrolls, Fallout 3)are the probably at the top for Western RPGs. JRPG wise, I've got to say classic Squaresoft (Secret of Mana, Xenogears, Chrono Trigger).

Atlus because of the Shin Megami Tensei Series

Square Enix, I really don't have to explain.

Bioware, because Mass Effect and Dragon AGe knocked me on my ass, and I though all WRPGS sucked. They still kinda do, but boy there are some diamonds.

Bethesda, only because Fallout 3 and Oblivion rocked my soxors.

I don't know how anyone can say obsidian is the best. their just making sequels to bio-wares game and now they've gotten real original and made a sequel to a Bethesda (or black isle) game. oh yeah they did make alpha protocol but that sucked.
Obsidian=Barnacle
OT-what was that other game you mentioned, something about steam?
I certainly didn't say Obsidian is the best but they are a great developer that gets a lot of misplaced flack due to their publisher's decisions. Nothing wrong with making sequels when they're good.

As for something about Steam? No idea what you're talking about.
some game
Arcanum:subtitle involving steam
And you can't denie that Obsidian's game are inferior versions of Bioware's without any new design elements. mind you their not that bad and worth playing. But i think it would be better if Obsidian did their own work.

Bioware's leading pretty well right now, though of a previous era, say, round the SNES time period, Square's various incarnations have that tucked solid.
