I would have to only partially agree with you. My relationship with Halo series is nearly the same as Star Wars. I love the original trilogy with all my heart and revisit them from time-to-time. However, once we get into the prequels, my enjoyment started to fade quickly and more or less diminish as the last one came out. For Halo, it was because of how lackluster the single-player experience started to get and the hardcore fans becoming obsessive and ruining the mutliplayer. For Star Wars... well I think we all know what happened with Star WarsLTAshler said:Halo. Hands down. The story may not be 100% original, but it is masterfully told and very intricate. Add to that some of the most balanced and fun multiplayer that gaming has to offer and viola. Best series Ever.
I'd say companies listed above with Square any of the Square RPG series added to it.DustyDrB said:Just pick pretty much any BioWare or Nintendo developed series.
Pretty much this. And the NPC line's were pure gold, 'Evil meet my sword! Sword, MEET EVIL!', 'Heya! tis' me, Imoen.'Anachronism said:Baldur's Gate.
Because it was exceptionally good; had some of the best stories and characters I've ever seen in games; breathed new life into the western RPG, with the sequel being judged one of the best RPGs ever made; they still hold up well today; and, last but not least, because it knew when to end.
