You're puny gameplay reports mean nothing to me. I shall be buying this game launch day regardless of any improvements/bugs/price increases/delays/family issues/apocalypses.
What if there is a bug in Skrym, that reverts the game to Oblivion-style graphics, gameplay, and guards... and a patch to fix it will have to wait til Elder Scrolls 6 is released?
I'd sooner shell out $200 for Skyrim with crappy graphics and gameplay than I would pay for Modern Warfare 3 found in a bargain bin.

*cries many happy, happy tears* Warrior whores would be amazing though, skilled bodyguard warrior whores. Warriors are rather bland on their own, and Whores... well, whores are still lovely, but they've been done to death (unless they have a merciful pimp.) I imagine warrior whores as some kind of Sin City hooker meets Enara... which is amazing. Imagine, being the gigolo that saved the world from dragons, there's a title to wear with pride!

As long as I can take a sexy female assassin through a city, killing marks while avoiding the guards, I'll be happy.

In Oblivion, if you didn't one shit kill a character, even when they're alone in their house, every guard in the universe suddenly had a bounty out on me.

[HEADING=1]STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM![/HEADING]
That was pretty pissy, but I also want to be allowed to sell my stolen items. Serious game-breaker in Oblivion.

It was fucking annoying that I wasn't able to make real money until I got into the thieves' guild.

I was hoping to hear about some sort of fantasy version of a VATS like targeting system for ranged attacks.

Additionally, Bethesda has given the mages and fighters guild more character, replacing their generic names with the "College of Winter Hold" for mages, and "The Companions" for warriors.
Are these Companions going to be Brave, by any chance? If they are, players could be in for an unpleasant surprise [http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Brave_Companions].

Meh - Oblivion had a lot of promise with its expansive world, great graphics, deep storyline and history, and apparent flexibility in player builds. But the implementation was a complete mess. Combat sucked, the skill/level progression system is a complete mess, and the finished product was something you ended up fighting with more than playing. I was glad when I got another game and actually got back to having fun with playing.

My hunch is that the "fixes" listed are not going to repair that which was fundamentally broken in that series.

Now whenever I go back and play the Zelda's with their navis I'll think of it as "FATS", thanks for that. Really.

Also: dear lord just give us Skyrim! I am exploding at the seams (if I had seams) to play this game! All the news tidbits are just cruel teasing!

But... how many more? Because if they just went from "10" to "11" or something like that, I'll be pissed.
I heard they had doubled the cast from fallout 3. However I doubt that is true, but if it is kudos bethesda.

Hopefully merchants now accept stolen goods.
How would they know if my bags of grain had had a former owner?
The same way the guards know you're criminal scum?

In all honesty, though, I agree. No one SAW me take these items, why won't they accept them?

Also hoping I don't get to hear what sounds like someone talking to themself, then find out it is actually two different people...

Honestly, I just hope the game doesn't make you want to be an insomniac. I mean, your character... I don't mind if I want to stay up late playing it... but if the game mechanics lean towards 'do not sleep, or the monsters get stronger!' I'll be very sad.

Yea I think of the Zelda fairies too.
I can't say I'm exploding. I'm curious but after buying the last couple of Bethesda games, I'll be renting this one first. If it's good and it actually works, then I'll get it... for the PC though. Never buying a ps3 version of anything they're connected with ever again.

That all sounds good but then again its their job to make their game sound good. I will not get excited over it until i actually play it, I am however optimistic and hope it will live up to the hype.

also: still with the captchas, are they really needed? we seemed to do fine before without them,
someone should make a petition against them
