I like collector's editions and I'm a huge fan of the series but no way, not at that price. A lot of CE's this year seem to be much more expensive (and not as good in terms of what you get) compared to previous years. Used to be a CE was £10-20 more than normal retail version, looks like that's gone out the window.

I'll probably still spend over a £100 on this game if they release as much dlc as I'm expecting.

Holy crap. I've been waiting months, putting off pre-ordering Skyrim because I knew I wanted the Collector's Ed. But £130? WHAT? If it was HALF that I wouldn't pay it. £50-£60 is the absolute limit. I'm their perfect damn customer but there's no chance I'm buying that unless it actually allows me to use Dragon Shouts for real.

I'd buy it for a hundred euro. i'd buy it without statuette for a hundred euro. But 150 is faaar too much. We have to eat, by zeus.

No way. Never. Even if I could afford it, no. The statue looks sweet, but no. Not worth it.
Really who is going to pay $150 for a collectable card game anyway?
I see what you did there. Well played.

Not even a soundtrack? What's wrong you with Bethesda? I would love to own that but that's waaaay too much for me, besides, my bank account can't take much more abuse.

I was waiting for a CE, but ?149.99, good lord! I'll say no thank you to that. With that kind of price tag it's hardly even tempting.
Agreed. That looks as if it should be the usual $79.99. Maybe $89.99.

For all the hate MW2 gets (mostly rightfully so) at least their $150 CE came with flippin' night vision goggles. Here we have a large paper weight that looks kind of cool and a coffee table book that you will more than likely look at twice, before it gathers dust.

$200 Australian! ლ(ಠ益ಠლ... Alright I'll pay but dont expect me to get all of the expansions and DLC... unless it's in a nice pretty box with a $20 statue and a $20 making of DVD set... and make it 25% more pricey because I'm Australian.. Then make a GOTY which is only $30 for all of them

Question: Will the US PC version work for me in the UK? Because it's £40 cheaper in America. £90 is a lot less of a sting.

On a realted note does anyone know which UK retailers are offering that snazzy cloth map as a pre order bonus?
I'm going into town tomorrow, I'll check in GAME and ask about the map and text you what they tell me?

The LE is too steep for me, and a fabric map on its own is more than enough to sate my packrat impulse.

Why is it £91 in America and roughly £130 everywhere else? What the fuck?
SW:TOR CE is exactly the same in terms of pricing. It's because they know they can get away with it. :(

$200?
Given the prices on the other versions I call bullshit.

Damn Australian prices, always getting screwed, no matter what the exchange is.

You had me till you mentioned dragon statue. The art book and dvd would be cool, but I'm not nerdy enough to pay 150$ for a dragon statue thingy.

Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Collector's Edition
and
Saints Row the Third

Well.
Dear Family,

It has come to my attention that really good games are coming out this holiday season. Therefore you will be getting nothing.
Merry Christmas

Sincerly,
Me

I think just playing the game will be enough for me, although I do REALLY want to play the game.

Good stuff, but not $150 good. Well actually if you think about it, the game is 60$, that makes the rest valued at $90. A 200 page art book at a book store would probably run you about $25-$30, DVD on average $20, statue I am unsure of, but just going to guess around $50, have never looked into statue prices. So the individual pieces add up to roughly that price if my values are somewhat correct. So you get what you are paying for, but still out of my budget.

Glad I've been saving a little since it was announced.
Knew it was coming, and knew it would hurt my wallet.
Yet, with Oblivion's fifth anniversary ten dollar off skyrim bonus....
wait..
It's a mail in for a prepaid visa card if I send in my receipts for oblvion and skyrim...okay...
What the hell?
I have to buy the strategy guide to?
Why can't there be a little ten dollar off voucher inside?
Huh. Not so pissed about the price anymore

While Bethesda can keep their Alduin Statue I'd love to get my hands on the Art Book and Making Of.... OH WELL. I still get the map; had the game pre-ordered since January. :p
