"Yo dawg, I heard you like coding, so we coded an update in your game so you can update while you update!"

How can i decline and update that i already updated?

Seriously HOW did this game not get panned by critics for the bug issues?

How the fuck does this even work? I don't know how they screwed this game up so badly at this point, I'm amazed that it got praised and awarded despite being a buggy fucking mess, but whatever.
Same could be said for Fallout 3. And Oblivion.

Especially Oblivion.

Such a shame. Obsidian just can not get its act together, not through the many years of disappointments, the numerous publishers it tried to shove blame on, just can't do it.
Bethesda handled the testing with New Vegas. And yes, I am well aware of the fact that that is no improvement at all.

Why doesn't someone buy Obsidian and fire everyone except its writers? And maybe some of the artists who design environments? It's pretty clear that those guys are the only ones with even a remote bit of talent.

With Fallout 3 i had some issues like getting stuck on machines, or Deathclaws hitting an invisible wall and flying off Team Rocket style, but nothing like this.

If what i think happens this will be the 3rd time that I have played 20 hours plus on a game and lost the save.

God dammit... Let me see if I can get this right.

The update for fixing the broken save game came out and as it turns out, the update to fix it has instead made it completely unplayable.

If you automatically downloaded it, you're screwed, but if you hold off on downloading it, the developers will fix the fix...

Obsidian. Why.

Bethesda gave them an already buggy-ass engine to work with. An engine that Obsidian has not used before. Combine that, along with the fact that Bethesda handled the testing of the game. And we all know how well they test their games, which is not very well.

And well, yeah. Considering the circumstances, this was bound to happen.

I was probably going to start New Vegas again during the summer.
So, the new patch will be out by then, right?
[sub]I certainly hope so...[/sub]

"We saw how you liked bugs so we decided to put some more in the patch made to fix bugs."
-some obsidian representative.

I haven't downloaded the update though. But what ticks me off is Honest Hearts is going to take more till release.

Figures. Well, I guess I've been lucky with a relatively smooth play experience but I can see how freaking annoying this would be for people on Xbox.

Does Obsidian test anything they make before releasing it? I was willing to let the KOTOR II fiasco slide because they had an unreasonable deadline from LucasArts, but this is getting rather ridiculous. They make great games, don't get me wrong, but a lot of them are marred by glitches that could've been fixed with a little play testing...

I'm tempted to say if it ain't broke, don't try and fix it, but it was pretty broken in the first place. I think this minor mistake can be summarised by: "Yo dawg, I herd you like bugs, so we put bugs in yo bug so you can crash while you crash."
Wait, people are still playing New Vegas? Get back to Portal 2, silly people!

My thoughts exactly. Now I am glad I still haven't picked up the game, granted I would likely get it on PS3. Ill wait for the price to drop a bit more due to the bugs then pick it up.
