Frankly I think they're doing everyone a favor- They made their bad game unplayable. Clearly they want everyone to just play more Fallout 3.

Oh look, a Bethesda patch fucked something up.

There's a shocker. You know Bethesda, if your going to take on the task of QA for an Obsidian game, you really need to be on the ball. And you haven't been on the ball with the last few games you made. I really shouldn't be surprised, but damn, its just ridiculous.

And yes, I know Obsidian developed this, but Bethesda handled the QA and I'm pretty sure is handling the patches(either testing them or making them themselves) while Obsidian does the DLC.

Obsidian screwed up, Bethesda are the ones fixing it. Read first, then rant.

In the credits, there was no mention of any Obsidian QA, only Bethesda testers. Meaning Bethesda tested this game, and will either be making, or testing, the patches while Obsidian works on the DLC, which Bethesda will also test.

They'll then send these patches to Sony/MS for further testing.

Yes Obsidian probably developed it, but its Bethesda's job to test it and make sure its stable. And to a lesser extent, Sony/MS's. Although they probably just test to make sure achievements/trophy's aren't broken and crap like that.

I was just pointing out that Obsidian is responsible for the patch. I will not dispute that Bethesda often poorly tests software these days, because your opinion on that count is spot on.

Obsidian/Bethesda, just fix this mess and just let the game die, people don't play it much anymore.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but people still play New Vegas and I am proudly still playing it. But I am totally laying all the blame at Gamebryo's feet. There engines suck ass and they do not age well at all.

Seriously, most of you posting in this thread suck. I've had the odd glitch but nothing gamebreaker, and certainly nothing thats made me go OHNOES MY POOR FRAGILE SOUL CAN'T DEAL WITH THESE TERRIBLE BUGS I MUST GET MY MONEY BACK AS ITS NOT THE ENJOYABLE GAME I WAS HOPING IT TO BE.
Yeah, I have a fragile soul because I'm pissed about saves deleting and freezing on a game I paid $50 for that isn't fixed six months after it's release, and probably never will be. And, on top of that, instead of fixing the game, they already put out DLC for it!

Can you really not see why this would be a problem?

Ha! Poor Console tards. Behold the glory that is Personal Computing! (yeah, yeah,I'm a PC elitist, get over it.)
It crashes on the PC too.

I think this bug is going to effect the PS3 once PSN comes back up if it isn't patched first. I don't think it's going to effect the PC network unless Steam goes down, or someone plays offline.

It sounds like this patch brings the game back to the original Cloud save State for the consoles(It doesn't work)

So they updated the game, and didn't check if the update would, I don't know, destroy everything?

Wow Bethesda. You're glitch fixing without CHECKING IF THE FIXES WORK?

ANY patch should be tested as thoroughly as possible before added to a live update stream. I mean really, how dumb does it get? They need to update their methodologies, pronto!

and just when I thought people had given up wishing death on obsidian as a popular hobby on this site, this happens.
