SilverHammerMan that was a win. Also the Hammer from Mario Bros. And The Cleaver from Dark Messiah when ever you have adrenalin, you could cut just about anything in half. Oh and the Orbital Laser from Unreal Tournament (I don't remember which one) and Serious Sam

Personally, I prefer tiny guns with ridiculously high firepower, like the Elephant Gun from Borderlands. My favorite gun that is gigantic in both size and the damage that it deals is Fallout 3's Tesla Coil.

Whenever a hammer chieftain falls in Firefight, I make a point to get to his weapon first. A massive slaughter in the Emperor's name commences. Also, the minigun.

In DoW2, sending in my Force Commander with nothing but an Iron Halo, a Thunder Hammer, and the Orbital Laser beacon.

Resident Evil 4 had several weapons that could fit that description, such as the handcannon, unlimited rocket launcher, and chicago typewriter.

I don't suffer from BFG Syndrome. I enjoy every minute of it.

Perhaps I should point out the full size of my avatar?

Nice blade. I thought the ones from Bleach were big. Dang how can she hold that thing?

Assassin can carry the thing because servant spirits (even <color=white>fake ones) are inherently awesome.

Different game, but still.

my boyfriend loves showing me game characters with great big swords or guns that are almost twice if not thrice the size of the character. I can't see the sence in it and i feel it spoils the game play slightly. What ever happened to small hand pistols or average sword. I must say though my boyfriend thinks that when the guys have large weapons that its because it makes up for the lack of size down below (if u guys know what i mean lol)

I liked the Suppressor Beam from HL2. Nice little understatement. I'd initially thought it caused nausea or something. Then I realised the Source Engine can't do nausea.

What game characters do you know (or if you yourself) suffer from this syndrome, and what your favorite BFG is?
Heavy weapon guy from TF2. Sasha says so.

What about Jack Rakan?

In fact, here's some [http://www.onemanga.com/Mahou_Sensei_Negima%21/201/15/] more [http://www.onemanga.com/Mahou_Sensei_Negima%21/223/17/] Jack [http://www.onemanga.com/Mahou_Sensei_Negima%21/226/18/].
Oh hell, you can have one more [http://www.onemanga.com/Mahou_Sensei_Negima%21/200/06/].

In fact, I'm reasonably sure we could build an entire thread of awesome just using Mahou Sensei Negima. Or maybe even just Jack.

The Nyx Avatar from Persona 3.
That sword was wa~y too big. Though admittedly, he doesn't actually attack with it that often.

Ah, yes. Rakan of the Awesomeness Incarnate Thousand Blades. Well, I could have chosen him...but I was trying to make a counterpoint to the "compensatory size" argument, so Asuna fit the bill better.

Besides, in Rakan's case, the swords clearly aren't compensation. <url=http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/6438/msnch204pg06.jpg>They're advertisement.

I admit, I simply wanted to post pictures of Jack Rakan. I love him, in the way that any man loves someone with a sword the size of a skyscraper, or the capability to accidently destroy mountains. Unconditionally.
