i saw this as i was channel surfing one day and thought it was a mad tv parody. so 5 min. later and came back to it and saw that it was an actual tv show. some things you dont believe are real just because it's hard to grasp the concept of it
*sigh* For the umpteenth time it is not a religion for something to be a belief you need to make a claim Ahteists dont claim anything its a lack of belief or disbelief in god thats all atheism needs, find the claim there. Now strong atheists who claim there is no god yes you can ostricise them like that they are making a claim without sufficient evidence or proof to assert the point like religion.Sparrow Tag said:Actually, alot of people say otherwise. Technically, Atheism is a belief in nothing, hence, still a belief.Glefistus said:Atheism is NOT a religion, it is the lack thereof. "a-theism"
Calling atheism a religion is like calling baldness a hair colourSparrow Tag said:Now, I'm for all relgion, including atheism.
Sparrow Tag said:No. I'm not making this up. There is a show, on TV, about a Christian superhero called Bibleman.
Now, I'm for all relgion, including atheism. People can do what they like for all I care. This however, is mindboggling. I really don't understand how a TV show as forced and terrible as this has made it through not three, not four, not five, but TEN years of airing.
What are you thoughts on this Escapist?
Atheism is not a "belief in nothing". It's a lack of belief in a god or gods. This is not the same as believing in nothing.Sparrow Tag said:Actually, alot of people say otherwise. Didn't "The Venture Brothers" TV show make fun of this?Sparrow Tag said:No. I'm not making this up. There is a show, on TV, about a Christian superhero called Bibleman.

As a side note: Yes, I saw this on You've Been Watching.
That was my thought as well.Baby Tea said:Bibleman is old news.
And who cares? It's just another way of entertaining kids with a message that suits and flows with their up-bringing.
It may not make sense to you, but that's because it's not for you! You aren't the target audience.
