I played Halo 3 once...

OT: I tried to throw a nade through a window, hit part of the broken frame, it came back and landed on my foot in MW2. That was... Violent.

Gears of War 2.

I know it's game where I should fight while hiding behind chest-high walls, but sometimes I become an idiot and charge at a lone Locust soldier to chainsaw him. the Locust guy usually kills me before I make it halfway there.

A L4D finale involving three dead teammates, a horde, and all four special infected. At least it didn't last long.

Playing Bioshock, walking around with the wrench, walks around a corner, sees a big daddy, gets scared and accidentally hit it in the face with my wrench. It got mad...

In Halo 3 this one time I was hiding behind a wall and chucked a Power Drain into an enemy team. It was an easy multi-kill so I chucked a plasma grenade... into the wall I was recently hiding behind and stuck my own shoulder.

BOOM! "suicide."

Hm... some years back, I was on a LAN-Party, I challenged one guy to a Quake 3 1vs1. I knew that this guy was a "semi-pro". He TRAINED in that game for gods sake (And his clan was sponsored and well to-do in some charts), but I had to see how GOOD I really am, now had I?

So he sets the rules to whoever gets 300 kills first win... I don't know how long that game was, but its sufficed to say that I was humilated and thoroughly thrashed for minutes. The Game ended in 300: 21, I think... this outcome has burned itself into my ego *g*

I try to rocket jump in like, every game. But about all the times it just doesn't work. Lesson to all: realistic games never let you rocket jump, so don't go pointing that huge artillery on the ground!

Left 4 Dead 2.

I was standing there next to the water.

*whistles while waiting for that ferry to come across the river*

Charger comes in all screaming and charging.

Dead Rochelle at the bottom of a lake.

Once when I played Halo 3 I tried to stick an enemy with a plasma grenade but the moment I threw it he deployed a bubble shield so my grenade reflected off and flew back and smacked me in the face. That was pretty humiliating.

This happened to me the first time I played. It went something like this.

*standing on dock*
Me (Nick): So, anyone beaten this one yet?
Rochelle: Nope.
Coach: Not yet.
Ellis: ... *heavy breathing*
Me: Shit, charger!
*charger charges*
Me: It's hit--I'm fly--apparently the water is insta kill here.
Rochelle: What?
*knocked into water*
Rochelle: Well son of a ***** it is.
Ellis: ... *heavy breathing*
tbh I'd be more worried about that heavy breathing thing :p

I can't remember what guild mission it was, but at some point in Oblivion, there's a quest where you have to make your way through a long cave passage.
Eventually, come up to a fork, where you can either kill something really, really hard, or work your way through a bunch of spike traps that instantly kill you when you brush up against them.

The first time I played the game, I played a Khajiit, and used my superior jumping skills to hurdle the spikes first time and carry on with the quest.

Second time of asking, I played a Dark Elf, and since I could no longer perform super human jumps, the spikes became really fucking annoying to get by. I suppose I *could* have gone the other way, but I KNEW it was possible to get by that way, and I was DETERMINED to get by.

Probably in Left 4 Dead 2, It wasn't much me failing so much as the game itself, I ran from the witch after I shot her and for some odd reason the music just kept playing throughout the whole thing.
I decided to ignore it but then OUT OF FUCKING NO WHERE she runs up behind me and tears me apart near the safe room.

I just wanted to share that story because it kinda pissed me off, anyway heres a real fail.
Testing the Grenade launcher without telling your friends is a bad idea.

One good L4D2 moment I've had, was getting a bunch of normal infected to kill a tank by the mean use of a Boomer Bile jar... it's fun.

One moment that got on my nerves was in the swamp campaign, it bugged and I got stuck next to a wooden building, just couldn't move at all. Not even after my friend 'incapacitated' me and helped me back up.
