Well they rip off the gun design models, so why not rip off the sound effects as well?G1eet said:
I look at the Conduit, and I don't see a game. I see a bunch of other games rolled together and then downgraded to function properly on the Wii. Probably just an average game, but if you own any game like Halo then buying it is pointless.
All those ridiculous knock-offs of Guitar Hero & Rock Band.

Haze is a massive and extremely lousy rip off of Halo, though this statement may be incorrect as I only know from what I heard. My sources may not be accurate.

Also, as far as games ripping off GTA, does anyone remember True Crime? Hilariously bad attempt at GTA-dom.
Actually here's an old example that is definately a clone, we all know the original Donkey Kong, well a couple years after that came out someone else released Krazy Kong which the developers swore was a completely different game, but if you look at them they were the EXACT same game except Krazy Kong was colored completely orange for some reason. To further cement it as a clone, after Donkey Kong Jr. was released, a game called Krazy Kong Jr. was released, still not sure why Nintendo didn't sue.

I don't think Rockstar have the monopoly on 3D sandbox games, so I don't subscribe to the notion that similar games are GTA clones.
Otherwise you could also argue that Starcraft is a Dune 2 clone, that World of Warcraft is a Asheron's Call clone, that Assassin's Creed is a Tenchu clone and that Half-Life is a Doom clone.
There's a finite number of genres and ways of presenting a game, so obviously some games are going to appear similar, it doesn't mean they're all clones though.
