No but it makes sense in the sense that Arnold has to lose. Skynet should have never bothered sending him back. Ok here me out. So the robot goes back from the FIRST timeline to a SECOND time line to stop John Conner from being so that robots can rise up unhindered in the SECOND. That's all fine until that timeline advances to the Skynet time period. How would SN know to send someone back in time to kill Conner? The wouldn't send Arnold into the THIRD timeline so this means Conner would grow up safely in that timeline prompting the SN of the 3TL to unmake him again in the 4TL.Googenstien said:Well I would have to say The Terminator world.. starting with the first movie where something in the past happens before the present, I dont care what time travel/dimensional laws or ideas are used for it, it cant happen that way (future happens before the past) So any story/game coming out of that world to me still have that plot hole hurting it.

You're right. Maybe its not. I mean all we know is what some random reaper told us, and for all we know he was lying, blinded by programming or just plain ignorant of his own purpose. Maybe there's a mastermind behind this. Who built the first reapers? They are only sentient machines following a set code. They justify it with fanatic devotion to the purity of what they do but at the end of the day. Maybe we arnt MEANT to know the reason yet. Not everything has to make sense all at once, thats called story progression.HerbertTheHamster said:the reapers in ME, fucking bioware keeps insulting my intelligence with their explanations
The traitor is randomly selected in that campaign. In terms of cannon, Avitus was the actual traitor.ScumbagEddie said:Dawn of War 2 - the Techmarine Martellus
In Chaos Rising, Martellus goes traitor, screaming unintelligable bullshit about how Chaos is awesome, and your squads of dudes curb stomp his ass. In Retribution, he's alive and hanging out with the Captain of the honor guard all buddy-buddy and being a good little soldier in service to the Emperor.
Did this bother the shit out of anyone else? It's never explained, and frankly I quit taking him along on missions because I know he's a dirtbag traitorous son of a *****, even if THQ doesn't.
EDIT: My theory is that Stephen Blum wanted to keep doing voices for 3 main characters, so they rewrote the entirely storyline so as not to make him cry.
Because making the player stop and make the character go to the bathroom/eat/sleep etc. would break the flow of most games, not to mention would be boring and tedious.artanis_neravar said:Why do game characters never have to go to the bathroom?Psycho Cat Industries said:How do game characters live without eating?
That's why the only institute such actions in "hardcore" modes like in New Vegas. You want the full RP experience, there's a niche for you.canadamus_prime said:Because making the player stop and make the character go to the bathroom/eat/sleep etc. would break the flow of most games, not to mention would be boring and tedious.artanis_neravar said:Why do game characters never have to go to the bathroom?Psycho Cat Industries said:How do game characters live without eating?
Yes, exactly. Although personally I prefer Role-Playing games where sleeping and eating are gameplay mechanics, like sleeping and eating restore your health, for example.letfireraindown said:That's why the only institute such actions in "hardcore" modes like in New Vegas. This always bothered me, too. But, I suppose it was made that way just to make you have some urgency to tackle the endgame then and there - as opposed to just running around with side missions some more.Pohaturon said:i'm surprised that no-one mentioned that one plot hole in ME2 when all squad members capable of combat were stuffed into a shuttle that could only carry 3 people up till then

Ever watch the cartoon? Megaman doesn't seem to care for human life that much out side of his own family. I remeber and episode where Dr. W attacked him with a Ferris wheel full of people at an amusement park and Mega blew up every car on it without batting an eye. X fells bad for people mega does not.Kinshar said:Megaman/Rockman. Why does he toss out all the weapons from the robot masters between games? Or why not kill Wily after the first escape and devastation wrought upon the world in the second game?
