The most obvious ones I noticed were in Freedom Fighters. No one notices the frequent slips in Mr Jones' American accent. Neither the resistance nor his superiors ever wonder where he spends the other half of his time. Oh, and in the final mission when you go to rescue Isabella, she's sitting unguarded in a cell with the door wide open, and the first thing she does after you "release" her is pull out an SMG.

Well I would have to say The Terminator world.. starting with the first movie where something in the past happens before the present, I dont care what time travel/dimensional laws or ideas are used for it, it cant happen that way (future happens before the past) So any story/game coming out of that world to me still have that plot hole hurting it.
No but it makes sense in the sense that Arnold has to lose. Skynet should have never bothered sending him back. Ok here me out. So the robot goes back from the FIRST timeline to a SECOND time line to stop John Conner from being so that robots can rise up unhindered in the SECOND. That's all fine until that timeline advances to the Skynet time period. How would SN know to send someone back in time to kill Conner? The wouldn't send Arnold into the THIRD timeline so this means Conner would grow up safely in that timeline prompting the SN of the 3TL to unmake him again in the 4TL.

Assuming Arnold killed John Conner in the first movie. Odd numbered timelines would have Robots killing JC and forgetting to go back in time and re kill him at a future date in the newtimeline. Even numbered timelines would have JC growing up and prompting a terminator sent into an Odd number timeline. Odd timelines would have Skynet come online without knowing John exists in the Even timelines still.

I would think this 25 years or so would loop over and over with slight variation until time is destroyed because all time is stressed at this point reoccurring with such frequency. Like a warn spot an a porn VHS that was paused there too long.

TL;DR time makes my head hurt.

On topic: Every game with and open end or two selectable factions that has a sequel. Like warcraft's history how can they say it happened one way in WOW when it had different endings in the RTS? Also starcraft 2. Why is it all of sudden a space western? Starcraft 1 was before Firefly got popular so it has no silly western outfits and the cut scenes are not of the same dusty planet every time there is a human.

Also it annoyed me that Jim had a six shooter with one bullet he had to shoot Mengsk with ala Pirates of the Caribbean. They explained it in that movie and it makes sense to load a one shot olde timey pistol. Why have a six shooter with 1 shot!

Stop stealing fan fiction mash ups Blizz and wright something good.

Aha, KotOR 2
Kreia wants the death of the force. She was on the Ebon Hawk, Probably looking for revan, as she was her last teacher. The ship the Exile was on gets attacked. Shit happens and you do the rest of the plot. If you saved the council, they want to cut you off from the force again, as your character is a void that gets power when they kill (EXP) and is very influencing (Persuade/Morality). Kriea is not pleased, as the Exile did so much to help, and the council is Blind. Again. So Kreia kills them and puts you in stasis. She then pushes Atris over the edge to make Atris into a sith lord, kinda For the Lulz. So then you have to stop the Sith Triumverate, as you are now strong enough. You go to Telos and kill Darth Nihlus, because he will consume all life in the Galaxy if not stopped. You kill him, then go to the Sith Academy on Malachor 5. In the RESTORED ending, everyone gets out. Your crew gets captured and put in cages. The crew tries to escape, but atton gets Scared by Sion and goes back. You then do a lot of shit in a ninjajedi zone, and save your crew. You then fight Darth Sion, who was only held together by force of will. You have to shatter that to stop him. You then fight Kreia. She says that she is planning to uses your force bond, and the place of power where you fight in order to "Kill" the force. So you fight her, she tells you the future and that Revan is in dark space fighting the True Sith. You go, alone, to fight with Revan... Then Bioware and LA go FUCK THAT and make SWTOR

How do game characters live without eating?
Why do game characters never have to go to the bathroom?
What is sleep to a Pokemon Master?
And you rarely see them breathing! But what is oxygen to a ten year old boy?
Why was a ten year old given control of a creature that could destroy a city and then instructed to go catch more of them?
Why does Ash's mom live in the kitchen?
Furthermore, why does every parent expect their child to drop out of school at age ten and run around in the woods throwing little metal balls at animals?

In the Unreal Tournament 3 campaign they make some hilarious attempts to justify the various game modes within the context of an interstellar war. You're not trying to capture their flag, you're trying to get their Field LAttice Generator, which can disable their respawners and win the match. I mean battle.

the reapers in ME, fucking bioware keeps insulting my intelligence with their explanations
You're right. Maybe its not. I mean all we know is what some random reaper told us, and for all we know he was lying, blinded by programming or just plain ignorant of his own purpose. Maybe there's a mastermind behind this. Who built the first reapers? They are only sentient machines following a set code. They justify it with fanatic devotion to the purity of what they do but at the end of the day. Maybe we arnt MEANT to know the reason yet. Not everything has to make sense all at once, thats called story progression.

Dawn of War 2 - the Techmarine Martellus

In Chaos Rising, Martellus goes traitor, screaming unintelligable bullshit about how Chaos is awesome, and your squads of dudes curb stomp his ass. In Retribution, he's alive and hanging out with the Captain of the honor guard all buddy-buddy and being a good little soldier in service to the Emperor.

Did this bother the shit out of anyone else? It's never explained, and frankly I quit taking him along on missions because I know he's a dirtbag traitorous son of a *****, even if THQ doesn't.

EDIT: My theory is that Stephen Blum wanted to keep doing voices for 3 main characters, so they rewrote the entirely storyline so as not to make him cry.
The traitor is randomly selected in that campaign. In terms of cannon, Avitus was the actual traitor.

Because making the player stop and make the character go to the bathroom/eat/sleep etc. would break the flow of most games, not to mention would be boring and tedious.

That's why the only institute such actions in "hardcore" modes like in New Vegas. You want the full RP experience, there's a niche for you.

Yes, exactly. Although personally I prefer Role-Playing games where sleeping and eating are gameplay mechanics, like sleeping and eating restore your health, for example.

This always bothered me, too. But, I suppose it was made that way just to make you have some urgency to tackle the endgame then and there - as opposed to just running around with side missions some more.

I also have a theory on this that rationalizes the entire teammate size and shuttle thing from the ME universe. So you can only have a fire team consisting of 3 members in ME, but what if you, Commander Shepard, are just leading one assault team to the high import objectives/targets. I have always imagined that the rest of your squad comes down with you in the shuttle and splits into other teams (which are responsible for securing a perimeter, or doing other various recon or combat duties. And that's why they all get XP when they aren't in the Shepard fire team and why they all leave together) while you go do the 'important stuff.' I mean...it's plausible right?

Megaman/Rockman. Why does he toss out all the weapons from the robot masters between games? Or why not kill Wily after the first escape and devastation wrought upon the world in the second game?
Ever watch the cartoon? Megaman doesn't seem to care for human life that much out side of his own family. I remeber and episode where Dr. W attacked him with a Ferris wheel full of people at an amusement park and Mega blew up every car on it without batting an eye. X fells bad for people mega does not.

Just completed Borderlands and gotta say the plot hole is pretty massive.

You arrive on Pandora with the expectation of finding wealth you hear a rumour about The Vault. You then get a message from some Guardian Angel who confirms The Vault and basically sets you off on the quest for it. Until you step in no one has come anywhere near finding The Vault to the extent that many think it is just a rumour. You finally find The Vault which gets opened only to release some massive beast that was imprisoned in it because it wanted to destroy the universe. Instead of appearing to you right at the start of the game and confirming the vault exists and then proceeding to guide you through the quest, if the guardian angel had just not said a thing you would have never found it and given up like everyone else...

...of course it would have made for a less interesting game.

Okay, This one still boggles my mind.

In Ocarina of Time: The great Doku tree chose Link to save his life and to save Hyrule from Ganondorf, Here is the thing, WHY HIM ?!

What makes him so special? why not chose a well trained warrior with a lot of combat experience ? and Why Link didn't have a fairy before ?
