Ah, that sounds interesting. Like the Hunter in Dead Space. I hope that's what they do, the Big Daddy's image was kinda sullied after you killed about 20 of them.
You play the game on the hardest difficulty? That you actually had to set up traps and such to actually beat the damn thing.

Regardless, you knew you needed to beat him to get more Plasmids to be stronger so you did everything in your power to kill him.

Knowing you had to take him on made for a non scary enemy because of the bonus of killing him, coupled with you being able to set traps around him at your own leisurely pace before engaging him made it boring, I also found his A.I. of running towards you at all costs meh.

"Crabman"?

Am I the only one that immediately thought of this?:

"Hey, Crabman!"

"Hey Earl!"

Thinking about it, on a re-watch there HAS to be two of them. Unless he's damn fast.

The dude falling passes at least six or so stories before he hits the blimp, the another eight or so before getting to the different house the telekinetic girl is in.

So unless he's faster than a falling dude, I reckon there has to be more than one.

Also, first post, woo! :)
This makes me think of at least two possibilities:
1. There are multiple Handymen, most likely working together rather than as independent beings like the Big Daddies of Rapture. If you get a Handyman riled up or if one is after you, then others may join the hunt.
2a. The Handyman is capable of using some sort of teleporting, be it a biological means (similar to a plasmid) or
2b. It can also use zip-lines or any other possible means of quick transit between places in Colombia.
Maybe each Handyman looks different. Each one would have different shaped hands and a different organ shown.

For everyone that is disappointed that the Handyman has a big glowing weak spot, maybe it isn't one. Maybe that spot is the most reinforced, or maybe its just pure aesthetic appeal.

**Also, for some reason the name makes me also think of "Candyman"
Gah, ninja'd.

I thought of "Candyman" as well, and shuddered to think how creepy that would have been.

Ok, hive-mind-esque bio-mechanical automatons sound both awesome and terrifying. Here's hoping its that one!

They have demonstrated that telekinesis exists, so a plasmid-similar method is plausible, but I certainly know which one I'm rooting for :)
Who knows? Maybe there is a greater "hive-mind" of sorts that controls the Handyman/men? That could introduce a LOT of variables to consider, i.e. severing a handyman's "hive-link" to give yourself a better chance against just one.

That would be very intriguing, especially because it could not only make each Handyman unique like a "boss fight," but maybe with different organs they would all be from some secret, unified source that could add further mystery while also explaining how they are connected.

I'll have to go back and see in the trailer if it looks like it could be a different handyman, it's been a while so the video is not fresh in my memory. Anything's possible though; it's Bioshock Infinite!

As soon as I thought "Handyman --> Candyman," I became curious as to how a Bioshock "Candyman" would turn out. Not only would it likely be some disturbing monstrosity, it also begs the question as to what sort of "candy" it has to offer (probably something really bad for your health!).

Ohhh!
I like it!

And i like the Hands better than Claws as well.
I have a feeling that sound of Clacking Gears is what will be used to tell the player if Handyman/a Handyman is near.

Wait, so we're fighting these things:

Awesome
Exactly what I was thinking when I saw the name.

However I like this new enemy. Would be good if you could hear its heart beating as you fight it.

Yes, but as a friend of mine once put it, "in Bioshock, Easy is for a bit of fun, normal is if you want a challenge and hard is if you like to die a lot."

First play through on Normal I died I think 15-16 Times. Hard 4th play through I died I think 10-12 times. Yeah its a lot harder and thats what makes it more fun.

I still don't understand why his heart is displayed on his chest, especially if it's supposed to be his weak spot. Shouldn't it be hidden or something?
I dont want to sound like a smartass here, but I think that it was there as a weak spot on purpose, you know, in case it went apeshit and started throwing well dressed people through the windows into the sky, just put a bullet on his heart and there, problem solved =P

this is just my opinion though, don't take it too serious
