welcome to the club. i´ve heard you can get the good ending if you only harvest two sisters so i did that and also got the "not all that evil"-ending. getting another 30 second cutscene at the end still wasn´t enough to make me play through the whole thing again. i fire it up once in a while, play it until i finish fort frolic and then stop. everything after fort frolic, except for appollo square, is downhill in my opinion.

it´s still one of my favourite games despite its obvious flaws. has more vision and character than half of all other fps´s combined.

I loved the game myself, but it's true that the last bossfight is incredibly crap, so is the escort level and the ending is very dependant on 1 Little Sister. I saved them all though (I'm cool like that), so I had no problems.

There are 3 endings though, 1 good one if you save them all, 1 neutral-bad in which Tenenbaum is just disappointed and 1 really evil one if you kill all the Little Sisters in which Tenenbaum totally freaks out.

I loved the game for the mid-game plot-twist though, and the incredibly atmospheric and well-fleshed out environment (just collect all the tapes, it creates a fantastic image of life in Rapture). I never wanted to kill a boss as much as the last boss. Sadly, the actually crappy fight made that fight even more disappointing.
well put. i second that.

Actually there are 3 endings to my knowledge. A good ending,a bad ending and a middle ground. You get the middle ground ending if you kill 1 Little sister. Any more and you get the Evil ending.

Fortunately I had a friend who told me that if I harvested just one I would get the bad ending so I went in prepared.

So, I just finished Bioshock for the first time and, for some reason, I got the ending in which I was the evil bastard. I know what you're thinking. You're thinking I harvested all the little sisters but no, I saved every single one of them after learning that they were actually little girls. The first sister I saw, I harvested because Atlas seemed like a nice enough guy. Tenenbaum seemed even nicer so I rescued them from then on.

It's ridiculous how my ending was dependant on the first sister and everything you do after that has no bearing whatsoever.

Have you had this happen to you in Bioshock? What are your opinions on this crap? And has something similar happened to you in any other game?
you actually didn't get the really bad ending unless you harvested a second little sister.

There are 3 endings iirc

Save all the little sisters
Save all but 1 little sister
Kill all the little sisters

You're annoyed because the game said you were evil when murdered a child for porfit?

I fail to see the problem here.

I heard that the endings and the morality crap was all thrown in last minute because the whole game is about choice or lack thereof so it wouldn't make sense to not give you any choice at all while going on about a man chooses, a slave obeys.

That's the "Middle" ending of the game (which you get if you harvest even one little sister). Tenenbaum says that in the evil ending as well, but quite a bit angrier. It's not really crap. It's just that Tenenbaum saw that you were capable of mercy, but didn't show it at all times in the game. I know, because I got that exact same ending.
Well, that's bullshit. I didn't even know if they were actually little girls, did I?

That's annoyed me now, I'm gonna go out and stab someone.

The Hell did you think they were?!
Robots, evil witches that pose as girls to seem innocent. It's fucking Bioshock, I had no idea if they were innocent or not!
I'd understand robots (even though you should have seen the turret tech).

I do, I didn't know what these little sisters were and Atlas seemed convincing. I did what he said until I realised they were actually girls and not witches or something. Also, the whole part with all the girls in the orphanage saying things like "He's the one that hurts us" is absolute crap because I saved all of them.

Bioshock was a great game. Thats it.
Not really. Bad ending, mediocre story, scary for the first 10 minutes.

Good atmosphere and artistic direction, though.
