It's US-only Twitter contests and autions of sorts.

Specifically, get tokens for registering your interest, registering ME2, DA:O and DA:A (or beating quizzes on them, yes it will be backdated), or winning Twitter contests. Use your tokens for bidding on swag such as PCs, games and merch.
Linkage [http://social.bioware.com/bazaar].

Oh, and New York and Florida is excluded.
Why the hell would New York be excluded? That's absolutely ridiculous. What, is Hawaii eligible but not New York?

well bioware has done something that finally pissed me off. a canadian based company slapping us canadians in the face? I suppose I'm not really all that mad but seriously, it should be open to us as well(not just canadians and americans but everyone). I spit on this promotion!

Ahhhh the equivalent of a marketing abortion.

Only open to a small section of the fanbase, after failing to account for heavy server demand, on a site dedicated to one of the best selling games of the year.

Bravo Bioware, bravo!

I need that N7 Hoodie. No one bid on it because I'm going to get it..

EDIT: On a sidenote, this is what I've waited a week for? I thought it would be The Old Republic beta.

I'm so tired of all things gaming going to America's favour. SO many fantastic studios are in Canada, and we get the shit gyped out of us constantly. THQ's deals are always US exclusive for instance, so even if I *WANTED* to get the pre-order bonus content for Chaos Rising (developed in Canada) they aren't even available to me.

Why hype something up only 5% of the worlds population could even POTENTIALLY be a part of. And you know, it's not like this is some small time developer OR publisher. EA has offices all around the damn world - they're an international company with international businesses and policies. All this tells me is that their American fanbase is much, much more valuable to them than anywhere else.

Dont live in a country(or state) that makes it a pain in the butt to run contests? If the game company has to jump through legal hoops just to give stuff away, dont be surprised if they just skip it. Heck, not even all of the US is eligible for the contest. Why? Because of crazy laws.

maybe it was an intentional "joke" crash.... I dunno lol
Unintentional denial of service, my friend.
Too much traffic for your servers to handle.
A guy can hope :)

Has the actual announcement been announced yet?
I wouldn't have a clue man.

....the Bizarre (haha see what I did there?) is only open to residents of the U.S., minus Florida and New York, which I guess are kind of like the American equivalents of Quebec.
Are you serious? What, is that a joke? Did you really just compare New York to Quebec?

No, man. Naw, that's not how it works, man, that's not how it works! I'ma take care-uh you old school, man! I'ma busta cap on yo ass, I sweah, then I'ma --- (insert various threats and expletives. New-York style. Bee-yotch.)

Seriously, the Quebec of Canada? New York is the freaking center of the US, and Florida is where all the retirees in New York go on vacation/retirement. So you better get your facts straight, Mr. Chalk, because if New York is the center of the US, then New York is the center of the entire freaking world.

So, to recap: New York rules, Mr. Chalk doesn't know what he's talking about, so I win.
Is Quebec any big?
I've never really followed Canadian geography, and these things get ahead of me.
