All in all, now that I've had a (good) night's sleep, I'm not so much upset as surprised that they handled it so badly. This could have avoided all this hullabaloo by simply announcing that they were holding a Bazaar instead of using a big, ominous countdown. Or by just saying that the object of the countdown wouldn't include everyone.
Badly done, though...

I hadn't even thought about that, but that's pretty stupid... I can't see what's wrong with New York or Florida either.

probaly due to laws concerning advertising/commerce (seeing as it's a free contest connected to an auction). I'm no expert so I'm not sure but still seems pretty stupid to me.

it's a contest to win tokens for an auction. And I'm not that big on things where you can win a chance to win something else. oh and there are only a few items in that auction that are realy worth having and they'll get plenty of offers so I don't think it's worth the trouble of getting the tokens.
